Secrets of the Silent Witch (dub) eps 4-6
Sweet dreams, extra curricular and etiquette.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners s2 (dub) eps 6-10
I felt this was a bit of a let down from the first season. The main problem being too many characters and not enough time to flesh them out leaving them with only the initial first impression to go off because most of them got little to no development. There were a few I liked from that initial meeting (Talia (cool design and seemed to be a fun loving character
before they introduced her illness and other stuff went to ****) and Kingsley (grizzled old merc
given the s**ty end of the stick almost straight away and then just plodded through the story instead of going out in a blaze of glory (I guess you could say he faded away instead burning out (his English VA was Clancy Brown
)), but never really grew to love like David and Lucy (and Rebecca). The rest I didn't care about (D
was a pretty dull character, spacing out a lot and quite whiny at other times probably from him suffering PTSD. His one track doomed revenge plot seemed to definitely provide the point of the story, but I didn't really care because we only saw the trigger for it in flashback rather than meet the people he's avenging) or even completely indifferent to (Roman is just there...). Then there was plenty of side characters that had just as much screen time as the mains in some cases over crowding them.
The art and animation were your standard Trigger stuff, but with a different director this definitely had a different feel to some of it, but not in a bad way. Although whilst some decent action, not the full on bombast of the first season.
Feels like a 5 compared to the first season, but probably too harsh. And maybe even the 6 is too, but I'm that let down. They obviously wanted to go in a completely different direction to the first season and I guess it just didn't click with me anywhere near as much!
