Finished Pantheon season 2 yesterday. Pretty good until the big bad gets killed, rather easily too, then it gets a bit confusing and definitely rushed. Probably knew they wouldn't get a third season, so had to wrap it up.

Also finished Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. I was already annoyed by the change of the story, but the reveal as to what happened and why was pretty dumb, but I suppose it sort of made sense for Scott who is a bit dumb anyway. There was some amusing moments, but not as good as the film or comic.
They also made some weird art direction decisions like making things close to the "camera" all fuzzy like it/they out of focus, it was just really off putting! Some decent action scenes. If MAL weren't cowards and it was on there I'd only give it a 6/10.

Strange show. It's quite funny and silly.
It reminded me of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes.
It does have boob jokes and boob size jealousy.
Thunderbirds are Go.

I believe the source material is from the same writer as Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement which I think does have a somewhat similar style of comedy and fun.

Treasure Island - Episodes 23 - 26 [Final]

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Treasure Island. I knew going into it that it was a generally very well liked show but I was surprised at just how entertaining I found it. This was down to an effective combination of brilliantly written characters, excellent pacing, dynamic visuals and a proper ending with epilogue that created a very watchable show and one of the best things I've watched in the last 18 months or so. Treasure Island is an under-rated gem imho and Discotek have released a very nice looking Blu-ray of it that I am very happy to have in my collection.

All nicey nice so an easy watch.
Some light danger. Good humour, especially the toilet scene.
I hope I haven't exhausted this type of show.
Would have liked some romance as I believe Sarasa and Lorea will become a couple.

Ah man, I love Mermaid Forest, I just wish they would have released more for it after these episodes. I picked up a copy of the Geneon DVD box set for the series back in 2016, which includes Mermaid's Scar, and I also picked up a Japanese B2 release poster for the series when I was collecting Japanese posters a few years ago.
