Sailor Moon Crystal 1

Wasn't intending to watch this really, but I was sending the Niconico link to my sister and it was loading up anyway, so I figured why the hell not. The quality of the stream really struggled though, should have chosen a less busy time to watch. Quirky subtitle translations as well at times ("Cat can talk!"), hopefully that'll improve.
Look, man. Cat can talk, OK? Sheesh.

Sword Art Online II (Japanese Dub) - Episode 1

I actually haven't seen Extra Edition yet
You really don't have to worry about that. ^^;

Also, no way they will go straight into Alicization if they have any sense or care for the series in any way.

I was under the impression that as SAO is only one cour, it would stick strictly to Gun Gale Online.

Anyways:

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal 1

Admittedly, this is my first time watching Sailor Moon (I was alive when the dub aired on Fox Kids but back then, I was very much into "Ewww, girl show!" mode).

I enjoyed the episode a fair bit. It was always going to be a bit weird, with me having already seen so many magical girls like it since. My only real complaint would be the CGI transformations. Also, I do appreciate getting Usagi's original voice actress back but...she does not sound like a 14 year old girl (or look like one tbh) xD.

Oh you mean the plot, of course! I wouldn't have missed it for the world. :p

I've seen people saying it's two cour though. I still wouldn't want them to do anything more than up to volume 7 if they could help it.

Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory - [End]

Having always struggled with Gundam, this came as quite a pleasant surprise. While not perfect, it avoids most of my usual complaints against the franchise (specifically, whining teenage protagonists and general predictability), delivering a thoroughly compelling end product that actually left me wanting more.

I'm tempted to go back and have another stab at Zeta, but I think I'll take the sensible option and look into War in the Pocket instead.

Aldnoah Zero 1

Beautiful looking first episode. Exposition heavy first half, thrilling second half. That's definitely a Hiroyuki Sawano soundtrack too, gotta have the Mika Kobayashi vocals. Inaho's deadpan delivery makes me laugh, I hope he keeps that attitude for the rest of the series. Will definitely keep watching.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders - Episode 1 - 3 (DUB)

I initially wasn't sure what to make of the dub, but it's actually pretty damn good. I'm actually kind of sad that A) It's going to be taken down some time today and B) It won't be available fully for god knows how long. I'm certainly interested in watching Part 3 now though, despite having only watched Part 1 so far.

Psycho Pass (English Dub) - Episode 1 (Re-watch)
Daily Lives of High School Boys (Japanese Dub) - Episode 1 (Re-watch)

Just showing a friend these two shows though he's not a major fan or anything. He did find DLoHSB quite funny.

Aldnoah.Zero (Japanese Dub) - Episode 1

Experimenting with Crunchyroll using 480p resolution.

As for the show itself, I'm loving it. I'm gonna predict there's going to be conflict between the two main male characters who are on different sides of this war. Also, Hiroyuki Sawano's soundtrack for this fits perfectly. I hope this show keeps up the effort and if so I may consider buying the Aniplex release day one.

Sword Art Online II (Japanese Dub) - Episode 1 (Re-Watch)

This is not deja vu I just wanted to see how different the subs are on CR in contrast to Daisuki.

Were they actually different?

There were some slight changes to a few sentences (e.g. when Asuna asks what Kazuto wants to do when he graduates) but overall it was basically 90% the same.

Akame ga Kill! (Japanese Dub) - Episode 1

While this was one of the most hyped shows this season I was quite underwhelmed for the first half of the episode. It wasn't until the second half when they weren't kidding that it was comparable to Attack on Titan. After that the episode is very good but I do hope it gets even more interesting as it goes along otherwise it will end up being another 'Sword Art Online' (i.e. tons of hype, result was underwhelming).

But yeah this is 24 episodes and I hear there's quite a lot of plot twists so I'm stick to it.

Oh, and Crunchyroll has it uncensored, goreous.

Ditto, I spent the first half wondering why it was so hyped, and whilst the second half was better I wouldn't say it was that great - and certainly not comparable to AoT. The only real gripe I have with this show so far is that I find it pretty ugly to look at.

Akame ga Kill 1

Captured the disarming tone of the first chapter of the manga nicely. Looking forward to the rest of the adaptation. First I've heard of it being compared to Attack on Titan though, it's not a comparison I would have made anyway.
