Pokemon B&W Adventures in Unova Ep.10

I think more importantly than whether one has read the manga beforehand is how much tolerance one has for the foibles of shounen action anime. Mine is close to zero; I cannot deal with time coming to a standstill so that characters can explain absolutely EVERYTHING over and over again.

The above quote is exactly what I felt this episode of Pokemon (and the show in general now) lacks. This battle was bloody non-stop...and not in a good way. They never stopped to consider a strategy or muse on what just occurred, to give any sort of reaction other than "Ahaha! I lost, but go next Pokemon! Attack! Attack! Ahaha, I won!"

It just makes the battles so dull and meaningless...though, ironically, perhaps more realistic as to how people play the games.

Fabby: Thank God, someone else who recognizes how badly we are being slowrolled by Titan. I still like the show, but it is the most over-rated one airing this season imo.

Aku No Hana... I cannot identify with the characters
Be happy about this.

because no matter what I do I cannot identify with the characters and the slow parts just remind me of that by giving me time to reflect on how little I care.

Your pretty much in the same boat as me then, and considering that you've already got to the painfully slow bits, I assume your also in for the long haul like me? Damn that show. I might actually try out this shonen show you speak of too some time, maybe even just to refresh my pallet.

Black Butler II Ep.6-8

Okay, it's explained most of it now, but still not How Lau and Ran Mao are alive? Are we supposed to believe that they didn't die in S1? That's insulting to both the viewer and the characters. I'm a little saddened that Alois has been killed off already. Was hoping to see the rivalry between him and Ciel go throughout the season, but it was pretty much hot-shotted into just a couple of episodes. I liked him too :(

RE: Aku no Hana. I can relate to an extent to the alienation felt by Kasuga, but not his completely losing the plot (and I certainly never half-inched a girl's sweaty gym clothes, honest). The appeal of Aku no Hana to me can be summed up by the old car crash analogy: it's horrifying but I can't look away. And I absolutely love the direction and music.

I'm afraid I stopped watching Aku No Hana a while ago ^^; Oreimo s2 is enough masochism for one season in my case.

I'm not entirely sure what it is about the visuals - it's either the colouring or the shading - but I'm reminded of TV anime from around the turn of the century, when studios hadn't quite got to grips with digital colouring. Outside of the musical performances this show looks flat and cheap to a distracting degree. I also hate jazz but I can at least deal with that as I wait for the drama and romance to kick in - although I'm hoping those elements aren't as clichéd as the final scene of episode two, where a female cast member is introduced after being rescued by one of the male leads from a group of typical anime thug types aggressively harassing her. My eyes, they did roll.

Majestic Prince - Episode 11

I am just not feeling MJ at all!!

See, if you asked what i thought of Majestic Prince 4-5 weeks ago, i'd have said the same. However i feel that the past 4 or so episodes(if you don't include this break style ep) have easily improved the series as a whole, it was just a shame it took so long for them to kick in to gear.

Space Brothers 63 - i've not watched much this weekend yet since i'm saving it all for monday(day off, woo), but i got Space Bros in. It's starting to take a more serious tone again, but i don't mind. More Serika is always welcome though, and looks like we'll get a bit more of her next ep as well
