The World is Mine, not Lupin's - ep6

Okay, I'll concede that it now looks extremely unlikely that Oscar is a girl. Perhaps the joke is that he's a gender-swapped version of his illustrious namesake. At the very least, the fact that Oscar is the only new recurring character, does lead me to believe that he has a larger role to play in the show than the story is presently letting on.

That aside, this was a very entertaining episode, if probably the most out-there that we've yet seen. They really seem to have upped the ante with the lengths that Fujiko is willing to go to. I certainly don't remember her ever seducing any schoolgirls before and that strikes me as a particularly cold-hearted addition to her character. I very much enjoyed the psychedelic imagery of it all though and hey - Catholic schoolgirls with submachineguns! That's probably a series in itself right there.

I loved the callback to 'something of grave importance' as well. Unlike Eternal Mermaid, which felt like it was cobbled together from bits of other Lupin films, this series has been excellent for putting in cheeky, but subtle little nods back to earlier parts of the franchise.

This week's addition to the flashback sequence is giving me strong Secret of Mamo vibes too.

Lupin III - Dat Fujiko 6
As always, I really liked this episode. Nice to see Oscar moving to the main plate (although he is a tad obsessed with Zenigata xD). Also, is his voice actor the same as SouthValley's in Shakugan no Shana III? As when Oscar was angry and actually talking like a man, it sounded a lot alike *looks up* Yup, Yūki Kaji.

What I'm wondering is, judging from the ambiguous flashbacks as well as the ending theme, maybe the main reason she keeps on seducing people is because, in this series, that's the only thing she knows? I remember reading some theories here about her possibly being a child prostitute and those flashbacks
somehow made me think that she could have been abused as a kid
.

I wonder if this series is trying to go down the route of making viewers at first think she's merely doing what she does to manipulate people by using her body (to be fair, she does), but as it goes on, we're seeing
more and more tiny looks into her past (albeit it in a confusing, but awesome psychedelic manner)
that could be to counter the initial repulsion that some viewers would no doubt feel at her actions, by making them sympathetic.

EDIT:
Naruto Shippuden 261
Okay, Gaara has won some serious man points this episode. This quote in particular struck me:
"When we share and experience the same pain, there can be no bad blood! No one is an enemy here! Because we all bear the pain of having been hurt by the Akatsuki. The Sand, The Stone, The Leaf, The Mist, The Cloud are no more! Now, there is only Shinobi!"

Mysterious Girlfried X episode 6.

Really, really good episode, tugged at the heartstrings and developed Urabe and Tsubaki's relationship further. Massive sigh of relief when Tsubaki turned down the former crush's invitation! That would have been an awful plot twist in my opinion.

It seems entirely possible, but I rather hope that's not the route they're going down. 'She's promiscuous because she was abused as a child' strikes me as a bit of a cheap get-out that would be trying too hard to 'explain' women who aren't paragons of moral virtue.

One other suggestion I've seen banded about is that she was subjected to some sort of forced institutionalisation or even medical experimentation, which I think might be more interesting. Again, in a roundabout sort of way, it could be a nod to Secret of Mamo.

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE - Episode 31

An OK episode but I do rather like the AGE-3 Fortress.

Eureka Seven AO - Episode 5

A good character focused episode.

Ranma 1/2 - Big Trouble in Nekonron, China

Very silly and very entertaining!!

Infinite Ryvius - Episodes 25 & 26 [Final]

So much of this series didn't make any sense and wasn't explained spoiling what could have been a great series but ended up a mediocre one.

Been watching Sengoku Collection ..not really sure what to make of it, its nothing amazing but its alright. Its watchable.

Watched a few episodes of Sekirei too, could do without the insane amounts of fanservice (BOOBS..EVERYWHERE) but the story isn't that bad, simple but quite enjoyable. The characters are quite charming too.

Lupin III 'Dat Fujiko 7
So Goemon prevented World War 3 by slicing missiles in half? Badass.
