A Place Further Than The Universe - Episodes 1 - 13 [Final]

I watched this ahead of a review on the Casual Anime Podcast, not something I would normally watch but I actually quite enjoyed it.

Mobile Police Patlabor - Episodes 25 - 28 (Blu-ray)

There's some really interesting developments in the main story arc through these episodes.

The Five Star Stories (Blu-ray)

Another watch ahead of a review on the mecha podcast.

Banana Fish - Episodes 14 & 15

Attack on Titan Season 3 (English Dub) Episode 10

Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child! (English Dub) Episode 1

Radiant (English Dub) Episode 1

Anima Yell! (Sub) Episode 4
Another cute episode. A potential new member arrives on the scene. The girls get their chance in the spotlight.

Fairy Tail (Sub) Episode 281

Himote House (Sub) Episode 4
A relaxing episode this week. Learning about and playing baseball indoors is a recipe for disaster.

Skull-Face Bookseller Honda-san (Sub) Episode 4
Another hilarious episode. Ah Yes, Job training from hell, Honda literally gets the "Short End of the Stick" this week.

Tsurune: Kazemai High School Archery Club (Sub) Episode 2
Quite an emotional episode. I'm not ideally fond of Minato's attitude right now, he isn't doing himself any favours. IMO he really should just ask Masaki to teach him how to overcome his hayake problem (having experienced the same issue and overcoming it).

Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc and the Alchemist Knight (Sub) Episode 4

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind ep4

Really liked the little jazz riff in the background during the fight with Black Sabbath Shadow Sabbath.

Castlevania S2 ep1-2

A shiny penny to whoever can tell me what accent Peter Stormare is doing as Godbrand.

Anima Yell! episode 4 Another new member and the first gig.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 79 Rock doesn’t beat ninja.

Double Decker!: Doug & Kirill episode 6 I’m not sure why but the blurry face squeaky voice segment was funny af for me.

Fairy Tail: Final Season episode 281 Well couldn’t see that coming at all... The humour is on point here at least.

Skull-Face Bookseller Honda-San episode 4 Customer service Training is hell.

Tsurune episode 2 Say hey man, nice shot.

31 Days of Halloween Day #28: Killer Klowns from Outer space (1988, Chiodo Bros.) A silly classic B-movie from the late 80s that oozes as much style and fun as it does cheese. Paired with a new transfer and it was a great watch once again. 4/5

(The) Squid Girl 2 episodes 1-6

Tsurune ep 2
MC mets a mysterious Kyūdō practitioner who helps him face his problem.

Ulysses ep 4
Rescue is here. Another historical figure turned into a cute anime girl, but this time they don't even bother changing the name from male to female.

HIMOTE ep 4
Baseball is indeed boring. The final scenes on the couch are still the best bits.

Honda-san ep 4
My word, a customer relations course would be my worst nightmare.

Goblin Slayer (Japanese audio) - Episode 4
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (Japanese audio) - Episode 4

These two I watched over the weekend.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (English Dub) Episode 2

Zombie Land Saga (English Dub) Episode 1

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Sub) Episode 5
A decent episode. That Minister is a pr*ck, treating Kaijin and Rimuru in that manner, at least he got his comeuppance.

The Girl in Twilight (Sub) Episode 5
Another decent episode. I had my suspisions that something was up with the judge and sheriff and I was right. Now that's what you call a proper gunslingers duel.

31 Days of Halloween Day #29: Jigsaw (2017, The Spierig Brothers.) This successor to the gory detective franchise takes the traps and games back to basics whilst telling an alright story in the process. It’s one of the stronger entries overall and feels fresh where some later sequels seemed tired. 3.5/5

(The) Squid Girl 2 episodes 7-12 and specials (Complete. More squidtastic fun and a stronger season than the first thanks to some very funny segments and more mini-squid tales to add a slight melancholy here and there. Series’ like this are ones I wish there was more to binge on, but I hope we get season 3 eventually.) 3.5/5

Goblin Slayer episode 4.
Ulysses: Jeanne d`Arc And The Alchemist Knight episode 4.
Release The Spyce episode 4.
Senran Kagura: Shinovi Master episode 3.

Black Clover episode 56 A new arc is on the horizon.

Jingai-San no Yome episode 5 That was basically a sneeze and it was done...

Run with the Wind episode 5 Training and more character interaction. They’re doing a decent job balancing out a rather large cast.

Tokyo Ghoul: re 2nd Season episode 4 Well there goes all of Mutsuki’s backstory and torture. But hey, some scenes were alright, if skimmed through as usual. On this week’s edition of “How Pierrot shat the bed” here’s what’s missing:

31 Days of Halloween Day #30: Jacob’s Ladder (1990, Adrian Lyne) A brilliant psychological thriller that sees Jacob Singer (Tim Robbins in one of his best roles) slowly descend into madness as memories of the Vietnam war begin to endlessly haunt him. This was apparently an inspiration for Silent Hill and I can see the similarities.

This film never fails to unnverve me towards the end and it actually manages to take what is a cliched ending type and execute it very effectively. It’s one of favourite films. 4.5/5

Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 episodes 1-8

Castlevania Season 2: ep3-8 (complete)

It feels like Castlevania has been a bit of a victim of its own hype, as I've seen a few very vocal nay-sayers come out of the woodwork in the past few days. It certainly has issues - there are some odd pacing decisions, some janky character animation, and it could have done with a stronger action director (was Kawajiri busy?), but, all that aside, it's still pretty good. It's a perfectly decent action romp that doesn't outstay its welcome.

Although you couldn't call it a comedy, I particularly liked the snappy dialogue - genuinely laughed out loud a few times at this one.
