Finished all of Season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul a few weeks back. The ending of it was annoying, not very satisfying the way Season 1 and 2 left me feeling. I need Season 4 now. Mmmmm.

I want to watch Durarara x2 next. I watched part 1 and have 2 and 3 but I can't remember 1 so need to rewatch and it's the rewatch I cba with right now lol.

I think much of the issue with Tokyo Ghoul:re is that it really isn't even "Season 3" considering Root A is anime original while :re is a manga adaptation set in the original timeline.

The production of the Tokyo Ghoul anime is a train wreck in comparison to the manga and :re season 2 will only make things worse.

Yeah as @ActionFaust said Studio Pierrot calling it Season 3 was pretty misleading. Tokyo Ghoul: re as an anime follows the manga more faithfully but lacked the style and engagement of prior seasons. It's like one step forward but two back in some ways. "Season 4" will likely be a train wreck unless it's 24 episodes or more, but that's highly unlikely.

Honestly reading the manga is the best thing to do at this stage, and even that only has 6 Volumes released in English so far (whereas other countries are much further on.)

Well yeah like when I started "Season 3" I was so confused about it and Haise and the memory, like I don't even recall seeing anything in Season 2 that supported the memory loss. Did something happen or is it really that poor as you've both said? It's been a long while since I've seen Season 2. My god the soundtrack from that season. LOVED IT.

Well spoilers ahead if you want to read them.
Basically at the end of Root A you see Kaneki going to fight Arima. In the manga they actually fought and Kaneki jobbed and got stabbed through the eyes and everything. After this he was kept alive and reconditioned into "Haise" to work as a CCG agent with Arima as a mentor.

The reason for the memory loss was mainly due to his mental breakdown at not being able to save Anteiku and his friends (he was told they all died), plus what happened to Hide probably caused a lot of psychological damage too. It's hard to explain and easier just to read the manga in order to get a full picture of what happened. Let's just say this isn't the last time we get an insight into Kaneki's mind.
If you have anymore queries I can try and answer them best to my abilities.

Dropkick on My Devil (6-8)
I really liked the first episode of this but that was probably its best. It's a bit meh but whilst not exactly realistic (what with the dropkicking devils etc) Jashin-chan's curry does look familiar :)

I really liked the first episode
Same here, but I dropped after episode 3. I know she's a devil, but she basically bullied a homeless person and a child and the punishment she got for it had already been done in the first 2 episodes. So it wasn't particularly funny and was already getting repetitive!

Izetta the last witch 1-12

Steins gate 17

Attack on Titan 39

Magical girl raising project 5

Black clover 44

Heavy object 1
Stupid guy sees a girl get crushed/suffocated by essentially seat belts and rather than yank them whilst someone else gets stuff to cut her out has a break down about copping a feel... just... get over yourself, yknow?

Kill La Kill eps 16-19
School Festival Trigger Style.

Something at the back of my mind was telling me that Satsuki was going to betray her mother. But I definitely twigged that Ryuko was Satsukis little sister as soon as it was revealed that she had one.

OVERLORD III (Sub) Episode 8
This was the best episode of the season so far IMO. While the fight was impressive, Ains shows why he is the master of Nazarik that really struck fear into fear into those adventurers/workers with his power that it really made them "Sick" to their stomachs (No Pun Intended).

Joshi Ochi! 2-kai kara Onnanoko ga… Futte Kita!? (Sub) Episode 8 - 9 (Complete) (Uncensored)
One of the best short (Hentai) shows that I've seen for months. It was definitely better than the previous two from the past 2 seasons which were sh*t, At least the MC had a brain that works unlike the previous two MC's who were only thinking with their "Junk". 6/10 - Dispite it's short run time.

On disc backlog
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 1st Gig (English Dub) Episode 8 - 16
The cousins came round for their second viewing night. From what they have said to me and their comments about the series so far they have become totally engrossed and can't wait to see the rest. Looks like I've converted them to becoming GITS anime fans with out even trying to. OOPS.

Black Clover episode 47 The fight further proceeds as the main mook gets a power up.

Overlord III episode 8 Ainz shows off his power in a brutal (but bloodless) way.

Sakura Quest episodes 1-12

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (English Dub) episodes 53-64 - Complete, a strong series that I really can't find many faults for. This series had a strong story and pacing from start to finish with a large cast that gets their fair share of screen time and development. 9/10

Cells at Work episode 8

Overlord III episode 8

Hanebado episode 9

Asobi Asobase episode 8

Attack on Titan Season 3 episode 6

Harukana Receive episode 8

Revue Starlight episode 7 - Now that's a plot twist I really didn't see coming.

Island ep 9
Actually a pretty good episode. They did the same thing as the last few episodes of giving you some info so you can speculate on it and then reveal what actually happened, but this week the initial bit wasn't as outrageous and followed nicely from the end of the last episode.
It has a new OP & ED and seems like it could be 16 (MAL doesn't have a count yet) as this would mark the start of the second half especially with the change in the time period, but speculation still has it at 12.

Hanebado! ep 9
What I got from this episode was that after Ayanos mum abandoned her she went to Denmark and adopted the best badminton player she could find! Hopefully she will answer the questions raised next episode as she's back home. Frankly bizarre part of the story.

We Rent Tsukumogami ep 6
Using the Tsukumogami and a clever trick to retrieve an item.

Kakuriyo - Bed and Breakfast for Spirits - ep 22
Aoi is confronted by Raiju and reveals his intent to taste her 😏

Holmes of Kyoto ep 8
Aoi helps Holmes help his ex sort out a relationship problem. Aois outburst was moving.

Encouragement of Climb s3 e9
Aoi has a relaxing time with Honoka whilst Hinata and Kokona have a harder time.

Thanks for that, yeah since I wondered if it was me not remembering, I gave it a google and figured we defo didnt see that part at the end of Root A so I'm glad you confirmed we didnt. The walking off at the end was all I remembered which made Haise confusing as hell for me. When I googled though it helped me enjoy the rest of the season for the most part.

Shu, I don't know why he was as he was on "season 3". Any background on that please? That made like zero sense to me too.

Basically Shu became a close ally of Ken in the manga, acting as his "sword" whilst Banjou was his "shield"

He became closer to Ken both to potentially "eat" him but mainly as a friend whom he treasured in that Shu kind of way (the guy is weird, but very loyal.) when he heard about Ken's "death" he had a mental breakdown and refused to eat, becoming the dishevelled pitiful mess you see in re season 1.

This also explains his extreme reaction to Ken being Alive under his "Haise" guise and why he attempted to get the other Q's out of the way, since they kept on interrupting his attempts at making Ken remember him and his true identity. After the events at the end of re Season 1 their relationship continues to develop though I won't spoil those details here.
Hope this explains things.

Thank you! Jesus this seasons well flawed isn't it! So much missing if you don't know the Manga lol. I don't remember Banjou very well, dammit.

He barely shows up asides from the early part of Root A. He's a great character in the manga, plus being voiced by Ian Sinclair in the dub always helps! (Wasted though he was.)
