Restaurant to Another World (complete)
Honestly was only in it for the food but liked it more than I expected to. Very light and relaxed with interesting characters.
Saekano Season One (complete)
Caught up on Space Battleship Tiramisu, Steins;Gate 0, Full Metal Panic IV, Comic Girls and Crossing Time

The King's Avatar (2018) 1-3 (complete)

It's a shame no one on here seems to have watched this because it's a very good series!

Megalobox ep8

Maybe I'm just impatient, but I still find it frustrating to get an episode with no boxing.

Future Police Urashiman ep5-6

This is what happens when you take funding out of the NHS.

Manga Force Collection title:
Armageddon
Aliens seed the universe with life including the Earth. Another one of the planets that has life due to this experiment has come to Earth to conquer it and only one person can stop them.
The plot moves way too quickly and skips bits at points and the action is not the best, but overall solid enough to be watchable.
I think this is actually Korean, but there is a MAL page, but I can't check it at the moment because the site has been down all day.

Uma Masume: Pretty Derby ep 10
Some time off training, LOL at Spe-chan having to be tied down! Then a tense race.

Kakuriyo - Bed and Breakfast for Spirits - ep 9
Prediction was correct! Jealousy is to blame for the predicament that Aoi found herself in, but there might be more to it! Some cost cutting in the animation, or lack there of, in this episode.

Crossing Time ep 8
The texting siblings are back.

Caligula ep 8
Same timeline as last week, but showing how dependent the Musicians (bad guys) are on this world.

Golden Kamuy ep 8
Another target for Sugimoto and co.

Steins;Gate 0 ep 5
The new girl does look very much like a certain someone! I'll have to wait to see if my prediction on this is true.

Katana Maidens (Dub) Episode 17

Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory (Dub) Episode 4

Fumikiri Jikan (Sub) Episode 8

Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits (Sub) Episode 9

Magical Girl Ore (Sub) Episode 9

Space Battleship Tiramisu (Sub) Episode 9

Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory (Dub) episode 4 Some tense espionage, and an inevitable set of events. The tone of this season continues to appeal, its grittiness is great.

Kakuriyo -Bed&Breakfast for Spirits- episode 9 My Magus' Bride comparison bears fruit as Aoi being in danger is swiftly dealt with. The remainder of the episode was sweet, but there's always something going on behind the scenes.

Magical Girl Ore episode 9 The weirdness continues as PRISMA get their magical powers.

Railroad Crossing Time episode 8 Return of the texting siblings.

Space Battleship Tiramisu episode 9 A pretty humorous episode with that robot being dealt with. Wish the rest of the series was this funny.

Steins;Gate Zero (Dub) episode 5 Okabe continues to suffer, and some more sinister happenings are occurring. Oh and holy lookalike Batman! (Side note: I only realised this was released on Mondays this week, ah well.)

Tenchi Universe episodes 12-26 (Complete. Another fun entry into the Tenchi franchise. The series had more variety to its stories, owing to Washuus inventions and the outer space plot that came through later on into the narrative. My main problem is that Mihoshi was borderline insufferable in this iteration, the rest of the characters are fun though. Also some episodes felt a little "eh" when compared to some of the highlights. Overall an enjoyable series, if you enjoyed the OVAs then this makes for a good accompaniment.) 3.5/5

Black Clover episode 34 This arc continues to be decent, and the OP is pretty good as well.

Tokyo Ghoul: re episode 9 Another solid episode, though with some lines and scenes cut short from the manga. Nice to properly see Shu again, even if his and Kaneki's relationship from the manga was seldom seen in Root A.

Yotsuiro Biyori episode 8 Some pretty serious themes treated with the warmth the series has come to present.

The Cat Returns (Film) A fun and breezy adventure film with good characters and great comedy. This is honestly one of the best Ghibli films I've watched so far. It was also nice to see some different character designs. 4/5

(Cheat entry) Persona 4: The Animation (Rewatch) episodes 1-9 Figured since I've just completed the game that I'd revisit the anime adaptation to see just how well it holds up.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Episodes 13-20

Things are getting more interesting now, but I'm still a little disappointed with the ponderous pace. I don't normally mind slower paced stuff, especially if it's presenting interesting ideas and concepts, but then I feel like the slower paced or more wordy stuff I enjoy usually has plenty of pretty things to look at on screen while you're digesting the info-dumps. LotGH is kinda bland on the visuals front. We're normally on the bridge of a spaceship, or more often than not in a bloody boardroom, it's not exactly visually engaging.

Tokyo Ghoul:re (Dub) Episode 8

Alice or Alice (Sub) Episode 8
Competing for the male MC's attention.

Amai Choubatsu: Watashi wa Kanshu Senyou Pet (Sub) Episode 7 (Uncensored)

3D Kanojo: Real Girl (Sub) Episode 9
TBH this was an episode that was difficult to watch let alone finnish. Tsutsui's denseness dragged the Ep down IMO, plus with Igarashi not being more honest about her feelings doesn't help either. At least there was one positive from this that he deserves credit for, He finally man's up and admits his denseness is causing a huge problem for others.

High School DxD Hero (Sub) Episode 7 (Uncensored)
Same old DxD with more chill. That backstory of Rias's aunt was quite a heart tugging scene.

Love to Lie Angle (Sub) Episode 9
When caring for the sick causes a misunderstanding.

You're not far off where I ended up dropping the series due to lack of engagement, so I think you're managing better than I did at least.
The more I think about it the more I'm starting to pin down what it is that's failing to drag me in, when on the surface it seems like the kind of thing I'd enjoy. And I think a major part of that is actually that the characters are in no way exciting to me. Even with the fact I'm getting to know them pretty well through exposition, neither Yang nor Reinhard ever act in any way that elicits much in the way of an emotional reaction from me, so it's hard to connect with them. Lex Luthor is currently my favourite character, because at least I'm intrigued to see what his schemes are really all about. Also the fighter pilots, who I've seen in I think two short scenes since the beginning of the show. At least they feel like they have personalities.

I mentioned it in another post but it does feel less like I'm watching a fictional drama made for entertainment purposes and more like I'm watching a war documentary made for educational purposes, albeit a fictional one. I don't currently feel like I'm rooting for the characters or excited to see what happens next, I feel like I'm going to have to take an exam at the end of it.
