Death Note episodes 9-12: It's dubbed, A+ dub, after watching this I realized why I partly hate Death Note, Light being a whiney emo faggot over "losing" to L. I like all their voices so far, I ******* LOVE the dub.

Awww man I hated the dub :(

OT: Paranoia Agent 7-8

except for the dub of "god knows", doesn't hold a candle to the japanese version

It's much better than the Japanese version. In Japanese, everyone in Haruhi sounds the same and it's generally duller and less entertaining :]

To each there own, i just find Christina trys too hard to follow the original Japanese lyrics translation and fit it to the music, which just doesn't work as your trying to fit in 3-4 more words than you would normually do

Gurren Lagaan Episodes 2-5 Great episodes but I'm stil not quite used to bandai's sub.

Flag Episode 2 Brilliant ! This is a must see, I have seen this episode fansubbed before and loved it then, still loving it with the bandai sub. I like the use of still imagery and viewfinders for showing the story.

Black Lagoon 5-12

Enjoyable but had it's flaws. I loved the characters but felt that the storylines could do to be more grounded in reality. If I ever see or read anything with Neo-Nazis as villains in ever again I will ******* shoot somebody. Come on guys, WWII ended 63 ******* years ago. For ****'s sake.

Also I'm beginning to suspect Revy made an impression on me...

Not watched much anime as of late, but I have dived into Emma and watched the first two volumes so far.

The first few episodes seemed to move a little slow for me-- while I instantly fell in love with the characters, animation and music, I sort of felt by about episode 4 that I was half-way to two-thirds the way through, but then it really started to pull me in, and as each episode goes by I feel I don't want it to end.

It definitely picked up the pace by the end of vol. 2, with Emma and William's relationship starting to ignite. It does make me think, however, what the next season will be like and how they can expand on the story after this season, but there's no point in speculating until I've finished the last two volumes. It all depends how it ends I guess.

Double Zeta 11-18

It *is* better than Zeta. The Characters are better, and there are more and varying plotlines. "I'm in love with an enemy pilot" gets old pretty quick... Also I think it benefits from finally letting go of Char Aznable & Amuro Ray.

Gilgamesh Volumes 5-7. Glad my mate lent it to me, so much better than I thought it was going to be I can't think why I put off watching it for so long. Will probably have to add it to my collection when I get a chance.

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World Volume 1. Not sure what to think of it so far was expecting something similar to DearS or Chobits but it is not quite.

You haven't seen the movie that follows Double Zeta then have you...That is the point where the animation lets them go forever...they die at the end

Ah i see :p fair enough  I think Double Zeta seems to get as much hate as G Gundam at times but not as much as G Saviour
Haven't seen either of those yet as I'm trying to restrict myself to the UC at the moment! Victory is next on the list.

I can understand the hatred for Double Zeta by people who take things like that seriously. But to me Gundam is just a bit of fun. I didn't think Zeta had many likeable characters, and like I said, the plots just seemed to keep repeating themselves.

Yeah the plots do get reused a lot, espeically by newer gundam series *cough*Seed Destiny*cough* Good to hear you're going to watch Victory the final UC anime series (wished F91 was done as an anime instead)

I take it you're fairly knowledgable about Gundam then Blackwolf? Which series is your favourite?

I'm planning to watch all the UC stuff, so 08th MS team and 0083 after Victory.
