Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie 3: Rebellion
This movie leaves me slightly conflicted. I'm strongly of the opinion that the original show didn't need a continuation and that the ending of that show was perfect. It was bittersweet, emotional and completely satisfactory so this movie continues a plot that I felt reached it's natural conclusion. It does it in a way that makes sense and adds to the relationship between Homura and Madoka which I really like but I still can't shake the feeling that it is unnecessary. The art in the movie, whilst gorgeous and well animated leans a little bit too far in the surrealist weird visuals that the show touched on a little. It makes the visuals seem less cohesive and doesn't work too well. The music and voice acting is great as it was in the original show, if not better (I watched it dubbed this time around and much prefered it) and I liked that they cast yet another K-On alumni as Nagisa. Now, I do feel that the story was really over complicated and whilst I got the gist of it, I started getting a little confused in the last 15 minutes or so, so I was hoping that someone who has a better handle on the plot can clarify some of the story points for me.
If anyone would like to take a stab at those, I'd really appreciate it.
In the end I settled for a 9/10 for Rebellion. The confusing plot towards the end and the art style going a little far are my only complaints. The story, characters, music and such are all fantastic still.

1.I don't get what Sayaka meant when she said she and Bebe (or Nagisa) were like 'Madoka's Secretaries' and they were holding her powers and memories. Why does she need that? Was that for only while she was trapped with the containment device?
2.When Madoka and company defeat Homura's witch, why doesn't Kyubey interfere or control Madoka like he intended?
3.When Homura grabs Madoka, how does this affect the law of cycles? If she only grabs a part of it, how does that stop the other parts working? Why is the universe rewritten?
4.How does Homura fragmenting the law of cycles cause her to change into a Demon?
5.Why does Homura say that her and Madoka will become enemies? Homura says that it's because Madoka would be unwilling to break the rules for something she loves? Is that it?
6. If Homura went through becoming a Demon in order to save Madoka, why does she act cold towards her in the new timeline?
