Hunter x Hunter - Episode 01

I was bored with and annoyed at Psycho-Pass, so I dropped it in favour of Hunter x Hunter. Not sure what to think, it was just very generic, but the most interesting part of the episode is tthe conversation between Gon and Mito. I'd like see more of Mito and Ging's relationship.

I was curious at to whether Mito was Gon's maternal or paternal aunt, so I googled it and their family tree just leaves me baffled. How can she be both his aunt and his cousin? It's late at night and I'm quite tired, so I'm probably being really stupid, but that family tree seems messed up...

Also, the hell is up with that electro-metal ending song? Not only does it not suit the show, but it's also a crime against music.

Silent Mobius - Episodes 11 - 15

During these episodes Silent Mobius moves away from the character centric episodes and moves into the bigger arc of the series, 14 & 15 were great episodes.

Watched up to episode 10 of Denou Coil. It's really quite a good show, but I find I can only watch 2 episodes at a time (versus 3 at a time usually with other shows). The 40 odd minutes I spend with DC just tend to feel longer than 40 minutes with any other show. It's a slower, more purposeful pace, but the characters and the world is great.

Over the last week or so...

Actually, I Am ep9.
Baby Steps s2 ep22.
Danchigai ep7.
GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There ep9. Mandatory onsen/fanservice episode.
Mobile Police Patlabor: The New Files ep5-15. Soooo good. Wonderful characters with wonderful stories and wonderful animation. I really must find a way to watch the main series.
Non Non Biyori: Repeat s2 ep9.
SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist ep9.
The Heroic Legend of Arslan ep21.
The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls s2 ep7.

Been enjoying my week off between jobs. Amongst the current season stuff I'm following, I've watched Yowamushi Pedal 23-30 and now working through Seraph of the End season 1 so I can be ready for season 2. I meant to watch it as it aired, but I just didn't have time.

I've also watched a K-drama called You're Beautiful, which I downloaded years ago after a friend showed me the first episode, only to discover it's on Viewster under the name He's Beautiful, so I started watching it on there instead.

Finished Elfen Lied today. I'll write something proper up when I'm not on mobile. God knows tying short messages is hard enough on a phone, never mind multiple paragraphs. The short version is I enjoyed it. I also started Nichijou today. It certainly seems unique and very funny throughout. Great OP too.

Mayo Chiki eps 1-4

After struggling to get through Hellsing I quite enjoyed watching this, it's one of those that i could easily watch in a day or two and i'll probably watch more tonight :)

This was a blind buy for me so as soon as i saw Subaru in the first episode i thought it was odd how he looked more like a girl even though he was meant to be a boy and then five minutes later Kinjiro accidentally walks in while they were on the toilet and lo and behold he was revealed to be a girl :p

I started up Hunter X Hunter based on how much people rave about it. Up to episode 14.

Really enjoying it! The arc is feels real slow but the episodes feel like 10 minutes each, I'm getting absorbed into the story. I have a feeling the story pulls no punches later too, given some of the more..dark moment its shown already. Looking forward to more..

Also saw School Live Episode 9 -Jeez, we knew that Megu-Nee was zombified but still! I'm dreading what's going to happen to the dog, the change to the ed sequence makes me real nervous, seeing as he's not the only one missing...
What if PSTD-Chan sees Zombie Megu-Nee? 0_0

I have to admit I found School Live ep 9 a little disturbing - now, I love fanservice as much as anyone, and I'm certainly no prude, but I found this ep - which is essentially the show's 'swimsuit' ep - to be in kind of bad taste. I'm not sure how old the girls are supposed to be, but they certainly look underage, and the show lingered on their chests just a little too readily. It's nothing on the levels of usual fanservice in terms of what you see, but it just felt kind of icky in a way I usually don't feel when watching fanservice.

Which reminds me actually, speaking of Mayo Chiki there's a really weird, out of nowhere full frontal nudity section in one episode which is essentially a full on sex scene in still images. It's just so utterly out of keeping with the rest of the show (even though it's supposed to be a dream sequence) that again, it left a weird taste in the mouth

I haven't seen the episode yet (or 8 for that matter, curse my lack of wi-fi) but the girls are all high school age like most girls in Anime are so I don't see how the fan service would be much different from any other fan service. Again, haven't seen it, I may change my mind once I have.

Ushio & Tora - Episode 09
Prison School - Episode 09

Weird that one use of a certain word was censored in the subtitles, but not in the audio, hopefully the subtitles came from another source and this isn't setting a precdent for Viewster.

Rinne
- Episode 21 & 22

"Even as a demon I can't let my guard down... that's why I make it a point to shop at the more ethical afterlife shops"

Also, why on Earth is Rinne doing a christmas episode in August?!
