Honestly I have no idea. Personally, if I knew an item I wanted was out of print, or going out of print I would buy it as soon as possible.

Limited Editions do tend to last quite a while for both Funimation and Aniplex. For instance, Shiki LE was around for a few years but I managed to pick up one. Even Chaos;Head and B Gata H Kei are available.

High School DxD is soon to be OOP but there is a chance UP1 may have some stock left for Christmas. I got the LE because I was afraid the BBFC would edit the release if it gets licensed.

Apparently they have 58 now, never noticed that feature of their website, is it new?

Also I note Azumanga Daioh is back on the xmas list :)

-edit- down to 57 now. Does this counter only show on low stock items, can't see one for Haganai or Yamada's First Time: B Gata H Kei

The stock only refers to items that will get Removed from the website, in other words it means it's going OOP. Funimation have already announced HDxD is going OOP prior.

United Publications says that Highschool Dxd "will be delivered between 7 to 10 days".

Does that mean they're out of stock?

If so, will they get anymore LE copies in?
 
How am I to tell if you have an item in stock?

"Normally delivered within 7 to 10 days", normal time it takes us to get a recent/current title from publisher or another warehouse .
(This maybe effected by publisher reprinting or shipping delays outside our control which means it could take longer).

Someones already quoted their FAQ but 7-10 basically means they have none on hand, but are confident they can order stock in from their distributors.

Sometimes something will show as 7-10 but is actually totally sold out, we do however know that Rightstuf has copies in stock so I'd suspect your ok for now. Whether those stocks will hold till after xmas is another thing.

I bought a copy from them about a month back, and at that time it was 7 to 10 days as well and it arrived two weeks ago. So I would not think it would be a problem.

Damn, I expect it might drop but that's a massive rush, got to be a retailer picking them up to resell or something. I was going to suggest bumping this purchase up your list, convince someone to buy it now for xmas. You could always message UP1, they might have picked up some or have other channels if you act quick.
