Based on the manga series created by Clamp, the anime TV series X comes to DVD featuring the first four episodes of the 24-episodes series along with the bonus, direct-to-DVD-only preview episode, "An Omen", that introduces the series' characters to viewers unfamiliar with the manga.

A superbly animated series that is epic in scope and strong on characterisation, X also delivers in the action department with an abundance of explosive combat sequences that will keep anime action fans hooked throughout!

The series is much, much better than the film. I didn't like it that much though but chalk that up to me not really liking Clamp and the whole "predestiny" idea which X revolves around.

I have the R1 Geneon set so will skip this of course (especially since I didn't like it that much!) but it's good to get this out over here so long after the bewildering movie so those who watched and wondered what it was actually about can find out.

The film can be bought for £3 from retail Fopp shops, it looks great but the dubbing is only just bearable. I'm looking forward to this, the clip looks great.
