Which series are you most looking forward to in 2006?

As a spin on the monthly "most anticipated" threads, which of next year's upcoming series (on R1, R2 or fansub) are you looking forward to the most?

I have to admit that lately I've been concentrating more on catching up with what's already been released, and a lot of the stuff that's due out on R2 especially (Yugo, Samurai Gun etc) really doesn't interest me. That being said, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Mai Hime on DVD, plus I'm also interested in checking out the XXXHolic TV series and of course Tsubasa season 2.
 
MADLAX on R2 and the original Macross on R1 immediately spring to mind, but I'm sure there are loads more that will crop up as the year progresses. I'm still seriously lagging behind on 2005's releases at the mo!
 
The usual sort of things; I'll be buying all the series I've enjoyed on fansub or have caught my interest on Region 1, the oft-mentioned Mai-Hime being one that invokes special promise in me due to the show's cunning way of making anyone become a type of fanboy.

Oddly, a lot of future anime movies, such as the Nausicaa or Arjuna looking GONZO film and Brave Story capture my attention more than many upcoming series, the first time such has ever happened for me. I'll guess the same will happen to me as last year, though; when each new season comes around, I'll try all the dishes, and eat more of the tastiest ones.
 
For 2006 theres actually a lot im looking forward to.

First and foremost theres the 3rd season (well OVA) of Maria-Sama Ga Miteru, which seeing as its my favourite anime I can't wait for a continuation of.

The appearence of Mai-Hime and Kannaduki No Miko on DVD, especially now they both have release dates. Quite looking forward to Shakugan No SHANA and Ergo Proxy making appearences too.

As for upcoming series in Japan, I shall probably be giving Kasimasi and Ray a go when they launch. I'm sure I will have other things I am looking forward to as the year progresses.
 
Myself, I'm looking forward to the Region 2 release of Burst Angel. It's great that we'll only be one volume behind the U.S. when that's out at the start of January.

I'm also looking forward to the Region 1 release of both Gankutsuou, and the new Ah! My Goddess series. xxxHOLIC should be good also.

Howl's Moving Castle is somrthing else I'm lookig forward to, and the release of Advent Children over here - provided they don't delay it another year that is...
 
I'll have to go with Hellsing Ultimate as well. There are of course other series that I'm looking out for, but Ultimate is pretty much king of the pile when it comes to anticipation.

The US release of Burst Angel finishes in Febuary with volume 6 (excluding the OVA), so the UK release is actually a fair way behind. Not that its as longer wait as some series take in their transition from the US to the UK of course.
 
heat guy j,cyborg 009 and tokyo undergreound all look good.

also im looking forward to more adv us thinpacks as you can get some real bargins on the thinpacks (i got orphan 2 for £15 and will be getting wild arms and zoe:d).

im also hoping for someone to licence the new guyver series.

i will have to look into the future release list to properly answer this question.

Samurai 7 and GITS 2nd Gig also have been pencilled in the calander

As always i will hope that italy will get the license for any Gundam series... (Oh well except for G-Gundam...)

Awakening from my dreams, I'm still wondering if an italian adaptation of an Anime, was a good or an evil... More if they think to transmit on TV...

One thing I forgot to mention is that for a change I'm actually looking forward to a number of Manga's upcoming releases on R2: GITS: SAC 2nd Gig, Saikano, Heat Guy J and Karas in particular.
 
i looking forward to next year are Full Metal Painc Fummofu and Tsubasa Chronicles Season 2 and maybe ill check the XXXholic series and GITS SAC 2nd Gig
 
NEO had an excellent preview of Cromartie High School - it will definitely be one of my purchases. It looks FAB!

Porco Rosso and other stuff by Ghibli is also on my list as well as Crest of the Stars - Beez has so far never proved to be a waste of money.
