Re: Where to Stream Anime Legally Online in the UK

So apparently there's a 60000 character limit. Heh, I was wondering how far a post can be.

Main List is 66% complete. Had to place the stuff that needed to be added onto the second post and work from there.

Digimon Fusion (Xros Wars) is now on Netflix.
English dub only.

Finally something new on Netflix. I'll add it in while I'm still finishing the main page (now about 80% complete).

Re: Where to Stream Anime Legally Online in the UK

First Post has finally been updated to my new layout. I've even included the newer additions like Digimon Fusion, Inferno Cop and Pokemon: Genesect and the Legend Awakened.

A couple Viki shows have also been removed from the list mainly due to region restrictions (no new additions since last year).

Excellent - my Amazon trial expired. If only they'd add Tamers though...

Re: Where to Stream Anime Legally Online in the UK

I'm now extending the first post a bit by adding digital distribution to the new format. Digital Distribution will cover the likes of iTunes, PlayStation Network and Xbox Video.

It's a work in progress but at the moment I'm covering the titles from PSN. Some surprises on there so far like Elfen Lied is available as individual episodes for £1.49 each.

The internet is pretty generous in that regard, tbh.
..but Hulu is still a little outside the scope of this particular thread....

Re: Where to Stream Anime Legally Online in the UK

Just signed up for another Free trial of Amazon Prime and on the instant video there is

Pokemon
Beyblade
Robotech Shadow Chronicles (Althoug it's in the international genre section rather than anime)
Spider Riders (Joint Japan / Canadian Production) (In the animation section)

Also there's tonnes of stuff where you can pay for each episode but too many to list here.

It should be noted that those will almost be guaranteed to be dub only with no Closed Captioning at all so buyer bewarre on that one.

Ah I didn't know that. I watch dubs so didn't check.

Re: Where to Stream Anime Legally Online in the UK

They don't actually seem to give any indication of the audio language; Sound of the Sky (for example) has no dub but is listed no differently to anything else (iTunes adds "Original Japanese Version" to the title to differentiate).

On the subject of DTO, it's annoying that Sony doesn't offer discounts for whole series like iTunes does - Nakaimo is £17.99 through iTunes for example, but to get it from Sony (since I have a PS3, a Sony TV a Sony phone in the post and am seriously considering a Playstation TV at £45) it's £29.88 per episode. My only Apple device is a 2nd gen iPod Touch...

The first two episodes of Attack On Titan can be streamed on the Nintendo eShop. Only the sub is available.

Seems Aussie Netflix has added the original Fullmetal Alchemist https://twitter.com/NetflixANZ/status/5 ... 3914594304

Anyone know if this is mirrored on the UK version?

I wouldn't expect it to come to UK Netflix as all Netflix regions have different content, for example the USA region of Netflix has Deadman Wonderland, Fate Zero, Samurai Champloo, The Devil is a Part-Timer and quite a few others that aren't on the UK region.

Re: Where to Stream Anime Legally Online in the UK

IIRC the only FUNimation-licensed shows on Netflix UK are Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan and Psycho-Pass. They're all Manga sub-licenses and the first two are also on Crunchyroll. It's not at all clear who was ultimately responsible for getting them on Netflix; if Manga was involved then we're not going to see the original FMA. Last time I checked there was lot more FUNimation content on the US Netflix in general.
