Kobato volume 1, pretty cute so far. Glad I picked up the short series, having dropped the anime when I fell far behind and wasn't all that interested in it.

Is the manga substantially different to the anime? I actually enjoyed the show for the relationship between Kobato and Kiyokazu, but I know a lot of people didn't enjoy it for the same reason.

Having read The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Vol. 5 I can tell that IMO it deals with the Endless Eight in a much better way - just two chapters, focusing on the last cycle of the time loop.

Reading Vol. 6 today.
