what games would you like to see turned into an anime?

Also, how can you have cutscenes in an anime? You have cutscenes in games, but anime is made up of purely scenes. That is what threw me off at first.
 
Well I'm not exactly sure what he meant because I'm sure he mentioned months ago on MSN that he hasn't seen FMP yet. We'll just wait and see what he says.

Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner

Notice the anime scenes, they're all cutscenes within the game. Maybe I should have explained myself better, but the animation style for the ZoE anime just doesn't do the series justice and comes across as a lot more childish than ZoE should be presented.

EDIT: Oh and I own FMP! on DVD, but the discs are like... stuck in the box thanks to ADVs horrible boxsets, I'm afraid I'll break them whenever I try and get them out. Thanks, ADV.
 
Agreed, the Armored Core games would make a great anime. There is a lot of scope for creating an appealing character to take the place of the player, & a plenty of scope to expect into a custom story.
 
i would also like to see a FF8 anime...oh and a good Devil May Cry and Panzer Dragoon Anime...surely it can't be that hard to do

I would kill for a Guardian Heroes anime

with regards to Z.O.E i quite liked the anime series, it was refreshing to have a mecha lead who wasn't a teenaged boy who somehow stumbled onto a war machine. All James wanted to do was get his family back together. ZOE: Idolo also tied into the first game well with its ending basically the beginning scene in ZOE 1
 
i'm gonna say Final Fantasy (any of them except the ones after 10) all of them can make a good anime, but Square never thought of it, god knows why, the Tales series gets anime and OVAs (Tales of the Abyss is kickass) and that's far less known by comparison

wasn't there a Devil May Cry anime out already? i haven't seen it so i can't really judge it

Metal Gear should definately get an anime (Kojima originally wanted to make the MG series a movie anyway last time i heard)
 
I'd love to see something like Prototype turned into an anime, plenty of destruction.

Yakuza is an amazing game that would make a superb anime, hell just stick all the cut scene's together and then update them and it would work on its own.
 
I'd have to say I'd be more intrested in seeing an anime based on games like Hitman, Max Payne, Deuss Ex. A well made Metal Gear anime would be pritty damn sweet too like.

Hitman would make an awesome series if you think about it. If they stuck to the game plot 47 has a mysterious origin which is slowly revealed, culminating in an impressive climax - But his missions are largely stand alone and could be full of impressive infiltration and action scenes. That kind of structure could even give it an SAC kind of feel. There are often plot twists and obstacles which force him to change his plans too, so it should hold people's interests.

True. Without even having to add any extra to the story, the main story for 47 is compelling enough to create one hell of a series. No doubt about it. They'd have to make it good to help people forget the failed live action attempt they threw at our feet. *shudder*

Metal Gear Solid anime has already been made, although there's a significant amount of less dialogue scenes, but matches up pretty well.

That's why i said a good devil may cry anime :p when you actually look at it there's a large number of games that have received anime adaptions. Out of the ones i've seen the only good ones is the Zone of the Enders series, but even then they are only set in the same universe and while game characters put in an appearance they tell different stories then the games.
 
You know, I always wanted an anime cross-over game, something that would been all kinds of awesome and never end up disappointing anyone, with a great fluid fighting system and brilliant music... Oh wait.
