What do European fans think of Kaze?

I'm the same with Penguindrum. I think the actual releases are very nice as well. I'm a bit worried as to what's going on with Kaze now :? If they would just fix the subtitle problems... :(

Yeah. If they can continue the shows they've already started releasing, before pulling out entirely, that'd be cool.

Crunchyroll have the UK streaming rights for Free!. Kazé tended to pick up the UK rights for Kyoto Animation stuff...
Kyoto Animation are just a studio; with the possibly exception of their original works (Munto, Chu2koi and Tamako Market I believe) they will have little if any control over where it goes internationally. I don't believe Kaze have released any Kyoani titles in the UK, although they have streamed a few of them on AoD - which doesn't mean they have or will get the physical rights (Manga licensed Deadman Wonderland and Steins;Gate from Kadokawa; MVM has C, possibly licensed from FCC?).

The publisher on Crunchyroll for Free! is the Asahi Broadcasting Company - the only one, although there are two under "TVAsahi": From the New World (licensed by Sentai in the US) and Knight in the Area

Sentai licensed Tamako Market and Chu2koi from TBS.
Madman licensed Nichijou from Kadokawa

Recent TBS licenses in the UK went to Manga (Clannad and K-on, both animated by Kyoani) and MVM (Dream Eater Merry and Mayo Chiki), likewise for Kadokawa (Ga-Rei for MVM; for Manga see above)

In terms of Kaze physical licenses, the only recent ones that go outside the Hitotsubashi Group (Shueishu/Shogakukan/Hakushensha) are Code Geass (Sunrise?), Mardock Scramble (Aniplex?), Penguindrum (Starchild), Persona 4 (Aniplex?), Tiger & Bunny (Sunrise) and Un-go (FCC?). I have no idea about SFII.

And I have spent way longer on this than I intended going in...

I think you were missing an "ergo" in there somewhere, but I am assuming you are already wearing a nice white beard and a Colonel Sanders style white suit.

Thanks for that insight. I honestly had no idea.

What I was going to say before I distracted myself, is that Andrew hasn't indicated anything about Kaze pulling out, just that he won't be working with them (and that they have, or at least had, projects brewing).

They may just have someone else in mind. They may be consolidating; the Viz group has other connections in the UK, e.g. the person who's name I forget who runs @vizmediauk and obviously Manga. They may have decided they no longer need a UK native and are going to take all the work in-house.

I'd like to say that they need a native UK speaker to proof over any text they produce, but then they haven't bothered up till now...

Hello so I have just tried to watch the first disc of nura rise of the yokai clan and it was shocking. When ever the camera needed to pan across, the image stuttered. I am not ******* impressed. Kaze you need to step up your game or get the **** of the uk.

I would like to know if Kaze have delayed their products in other regions. This mess in the UK is insane.
I doubt it since the releases in their other territories usually come out first and have the other European languages (FR, DE etc.)
I'm under the impression that the UK releases are authored especially for us with JP/ENG audio, so any delays are usually restricted to us. I just with they didn't bother in the first place and buggered off.
