Yeah I was only initially planning to catch up on the Jackie Chan releases but ended up with those other titles too! What did you end up going for!
Same with Crime Story & Heart Of Dragon 4K's then also went for Rosa, Saga Of the Phoenix, and Over Your Dead Body.
Fingers crossed they actually put the Jackie 4Ks aside until mid Dec as they've sold out now!

Never Sleep Alone
The Elm Street Legacy
I've only seen the 1st 3 movies but thought this would be interesting.

This was £14.99 but part of HMVs 2 for £15 so had to pick something else.
I went for Ghosts of Mars as I don't own it and it's got a fair amount of extras.
John Carpenter and Jason Statham. What's not to like? Ice Cube that's what.

Dark Gathering better be good.
As I'm watching the Elm Street Legacy now maybe I'll be in the mood.

Arrived in the past week.
IMG_2902.jpeg

Got some steelbooks, decided to replace my big Film Vault releases with steelbooks editions and the last one was Scarface. Also wanted to replace my Japanese Limited Edition of the Haikyu movie with the new steelbook, arrived with some damage, so Amazon refunded me.

Got the Limited Edition release of King Gnu - The Greatest Unknown, which is one of my favorite albums. It also includes a blu-ray of their concert in Tokyo Dome, really looking forward to seeing it.

IMG_2901.jpeg

Some JoJo figures, Jotaro and Jolyne Pop Up Parade’s and Silver Bullet from Part 7. the latter is from Medicos and the figure is probably one of the nicest ones I have, very heavy as well, and of course the details are amazing.

IMG_2904.jpeg

Got the Slifer the Sky Dragon prize figure from the Monsters Legion line, also looking to pick up the two other Egyptian Gods. The Guts figure is from the Limited Edition release of Berserk - Volume 42, which is very rare to find.

One more from Medicos, it’s also from their Chozo Art line, insane detailing and overall quality.

Been waiting a while for Nummy Tummy by mignon to come back in stock at Mandarake and luckily managed to grab it while they had one in stock. Also suprised that Annette & Liliana is a hardcover.

2025 HAUL - NOVEMBER v2

Another week, another batch of work to go through. Needed to take some annual leave as the year is nearly over, so I have the next week off from work which has caused me to do excessive overtime to make sure stuff is done in advance (lost the Saturday as a result).

In the meantime, payday came a few days ago and I ordered a new anime release which arrived yesterday.

#02 | Mushoku Tensei II: Jobless Reincarnation
As a fan of the anime I am happy to see Mushoku Tensei II finally get released on home video. Technically Part 1 came out a year ago, but Part 2 had just got released since the series aired as a split-cour format. Since I have the limited edition for the first season, I ordered (last minute) the limited edition for the second season which thankfully didn't get cancelled considering Anime-on-Line cancelled Solo Leveling which was ordered last minute as well.

You can view more photos & specs on my blog.

As for what's to come for the month of November with my hauls. Honestly I have no clue. A bunch of Anime Limited releases were supposed to make their appearance and they all got delayed or are stuck waiting for another item instead, though some folks got their copies for Call of the Night so I'm hoping for my order to ship out this month as well (which mine is bundled with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners so it'll now depend on that to arrive on time, though European versions are now scheduled for December instead). My DAN DA DAN order is with Bleach Part 9 which isn't scheduled for release until December.

Tales of Xillia Remastered on PlayStation 5 -
I had played Xillia back 11 years ago and really enjoyed it. So now that it has been put on modern platforms it’s time to revisit it again.

Crumb - the documentary about infamous underground comics artist R. Crumb. I showed a lot of restraint and didn’t get anything in the Arrow Halloween sale or HMV’s other sales but this was something I have been wanting to watch for ages. Discipline isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Turn Loose Our Death Rays And Kill Them All! The Complete Works Of Fletcher Hanks - in the wake of Superman’s debut there was a feverish desire to replicate Jerry and Joe’s national success with Clark Kent. Hanks’ attempt was Stardust the Space Wizard among others. Writing and drawing his own strips and operating with no established rules means that he is noted as a comic auteur in the very early stages of the format’s existence. Fantagraphics put this archive collection out in hardcover a few years ago but it is long out of print. It is now available in a paperback edition this month and I look forward to giving it a shot.

Reconguista in G Character Design Works (by Kenichi Yoshida) and the Turn A Gundam Designs book by Akira Yatsura - these are both from Zen Market. Both are second hand but in nice condition and make an excellent addition to my Gundam collection.

This arrived and I'd say it's ok quality not the best, the print hasn't got visible pixellation but is not the sharpest and it does ride up slightly over my bust when I lift my arms, it's not the worst for that it generally rights itself without me having to pull it down when I put my arms down again, but yeah I might request a return and refund 🤔

Poor packaging for these so T&L has a dent or two.

Unfortunately that's Rarewaves in general. Most of the time now you will get each item shipped separately in a cardboard envelope, which is usually ok for regular plastic cased discs, though the Scanavo cases like Criterion use are weak at the center of the spine so getting a little bend there is unfortunately common in my experience.

If you're less lucky you'll get one or more stuffed into a bubble mailer.

Either of the above will tend to mangle corners on flimsier cardboard like Criterion's digipak cases.

If you hit the very rare jackpot you may get things shipped together in an actual box.

You'll get better packaging but pay more at Lime Light. Zavvi will usually use the foldover cardboard mailers. Deff used to package very well but I haven't dealt with them since they returned so don't know how they are now.

The spoopy ghost hoodie was sooo disappointing the print is decidedly low res looking, will be returning for a refund 😭 ❤️

But! The jellyfish dress is very cute and a good comfy fit, the coat... is glorious!! So much shininess and, and... pinkness! It fits really well too and is very warm and cosy, it's one of the nicest things I've ever bought from Temu (that's emphatically not meant as damning with faint praise, it's amazing, and the faux fur trim on the hood is fully detachable which is great for me cuz those kinds of things tend to aggravate my OCD), I absolutely love it I've been wearing it indoors cuz it's cold/any excuse! Was def worth what I paid for it (around £50) 🥰👍

@cfx Yeah I won’t be using them again in a hurry for anything fragile. It doesn’t help that Criterion’s digipack releases are flimsy as it is.

2025 HAUL - NOVEMBER v3

Yesterday I went to York to check the shops but also watch the new Predator: Badlands film at the cinema (which was great). Got a few things.

#03 | HMV Haul
In HMV I picked up four more films for the 4K Ultra HD collection, three of which are from the 3 for £50 deal and another just got released at the end of October which I did try to get but they didn't have the 4K version in stock.

James Gunn's Superman is the new release here and I really enjoyed it when I watched it at the cinema last July. It's the start of the new DC Universe but works really well on its own like an episode of the animated series. The film starred David Corenswet (Pearl), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), and Nicholas Hoult (Nosferatu).

From the deal we have Ridley Scott's 2005 film Kingdom of Heaven. This epic historical film I've heard about over the years recently saw a 4K release earlier in the year for its director's cut (which has a runtime of 193 minutes) which is considered the better version of the film. The film starred Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings), Eva Green (Casino Royale), and Jeremy Irons (Die Hard with a Vengeance).

Next we have Darren Aronofsky's 2000 film Requiem for a Dream. The psychological drama film I've heard bits about though I know more about his other film Black Swan which as you know pretty much is a remake of Satoshi Kon's Perfect Blue. In fact there is a scene in this film that's a recreation of one of the scenes in the anime. Either way, outside of that stuff, I have heard the film in general is pretty good so I look forward to checking it out. The film starred Ellen Burstyn (The Exorcist), Jared Leto (Tron Ares), and Jennifer Connelly (Phenomena).

And last but not least is David Fincher's 2007 film Zodiac. This mystery thriller film I do actually own on Blu-ray but I never got around to watching my copy. Sadly this UK version of the 4K release doesn't have Dolby Vision which is on the US version, but from what I read as the film is also an upscale from the 2K master. The release includes the theatrical on 4K and the director's cut on Blu-ray. The film starred Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler), Mark Ruffalo (Dark Waters), and Robert Downey Jr. (Tropic Thunder).

PS4 Haul 2025 - 05 - Mass Effect Legendary Edition.jpg

#04 | Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Next we have Mass Effect Legendary Edition from CeX. This epic space opera Action RPG is a favourite of mine from the Xbox 360 days and a few years back it got remastered for modern platforms. I saw this was in stock last time I went into York but I decided to hold off, but yesterday I wanted to own it so thankfully they had one available still. This collection includes all three games with quality of life improvements (especially for the first game) and a majority of the original game's downloadable content on the disc. I won't be playing this right away but definitely will be before the next instalment is released.
