I've ordered Part 1 CE from Ebay, looks like the Australian CE version, but it should work with this to become a somewhat complete edition.

The contents of Part 2 of the CE seem like the regular part 2 Bluray but there is also a light novel in the wrap behind it.

The light novel is a fun read. Each chapter is from the perspective of a different character and it's more light hearted than the series.

Do you know if there is a different light novel with part 1?

I hope I can read it and I don't have to do so upside down in case it's in Australian! 😂

The series is definitely not that light hearted, but it's one of the things I really enjoyed about it.

No. Not with the UK (and presumably US) release. The LN is kind of like 4 bonus OVA episodes that fit throughout season 1. As a companion piece to the series it's worth reading. Especially if you like the main characters.

I had thought that too but if you want to put the LN in, you'd have to take out the artbook and art cards which... isn't really a solution since it just shifts the problem.

I want to make a Manga joke but I can actually see how a mistake might have been made, I think this is why AL give the boxes with the second part so they have the full measurements.

I'd be able to see how a mistake was possible if both parts weren't announced and put up for preorder at the same time and initially had the same release date.

Part 2's limited edition had less print run allocations than Part 1 did so it makes sense why the LN wouldn't be able to fit in with the set. High School DxD HERO's LN also doesn't fit in with its LE either.
