What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Imports arrived for my PS3 Collection, no custom charges.

For some reason despite being displayed as a Japan Import, I got the Region 3 version instead for F 2nd. Not that I'm complaining much but when it comes to placing it on the shelf it looks odd (the spine does match perfectly it's just I wish I had the CERO rating to match the first game).

Where do you order yours from?

Today I got:
Black cat box set
Dream eater merry
Blue exorcist parts 1&2
Corpse princess parts 1&2
Princess resurrection the complete collection
And finally is this a zombie of the dead? Series 1&2.

Now to ignore reality whilst watching them all.

I've just ordered a decent amount of items, so over the next few weeks, as and when I receive my items, I'll update in this thread. :)

Since my Psycho-Pass Part 2 & Guilty Crown Part 2 orders were mixed up by UP1, I'll have to wait a little while longer for them.

I have three items so far:

Nisekoi Manga - Volume 2:

Shame it's region-locked. :( I just don't have the money to fork out for a Region-Free/Region A Blu-Ray player. :p

Chances of this making it's way to the UK on Blu-Ray...?

Manga Entertainment will probably rescue the license considering they have Season 2 (Astral Ocean). But if they do end up rescuing it, they won't release it on Blu-ray because they don't bother with Up-scaled Blu-ray's (excluding Black Lagoon but that's handled by Kaze).

Also regarding the PS3 games, I got them on Amazon UK because they were available for free delivery with Prime.

Me thinkgs i'll have to get this when i get paid.

It's really cheap (depends what you define as cheap though, some people bitch about UK anime titles being £20 as expensive), about £22 for the Limited Edition artbox and £18 for the standard parts.

Nekomonogatari Black turned up today.

It's still looking great, I plan on getting Nisemonogatari & Nekomonogatari's in one package for my Birthday in June.

I've purchased the following items this month. I have to say, I didn't think I'd bought so much.
I suppose it makes up for the fact that there's only a few titles I want over the next few months though - Shiki/Haganai NEXT/Persona 3 in May, Attack on Titan part 1/Neko Shiro in June and Toradora in July.

In regards to Nekomonogatari, as much as I miss having a proper artbox, I actually quite like the slipcover with the wraparound. It also fixes the one gripe I had with the Bakemono/Nisemono sets which was the cheap, tacky, boring looking spine, whilst this one just looks much nicer. I'd love it if the Monogatari second season was done this way but came with an artbox to house all the volumes.

Was yours damaged in any way? The actual BD case for part 1 is split until halfway up the spine for me, and the artbox is slightly lop sided like Psycho Pass.

My question to you is... how much did you have to pay to get a Region A compatible Blu-Ray player?

I'm planning to get one eventually, but I'm not sure where is best to get one and how much I should be looking to pay.

On topic though, very nice pickups. :)

How highly do you rate the Monogatari Series? I've heard so much about it, is it one of the shows I need to watch immediately? :p

I got my region-free players for about £70, but the player (Toshiba BDX3200) is quite hard to come by now. They tend to go for over £100 on Amazon marketplace.

I've only seen Bakemonogatari and Nekomongatari Black, but I rate them highly. There's a lot of witty wordplay and sarcastic (and pretty perverted) humour.

You can check the series out for free on Daisuki/Crunchyroll.

Bakemonogatari
Nisemonogatari
Nekomonogatari Black
Monogatari s2

Would you mind linking me a Blu-Ray player on Amazon, as an example? :) It would be a big help, thanks. :)

Well, I was lucky enough to get one of the Toshiba BDX3200 when they were being manufactured (paid around £60). It only needed AUS firmware installed and it was region free.
Not sure if you'd be able to pick one of those up nowadays.

Bakemonogatari was very good and I'd easily recommend it (I paid £127 for the Aniplex set when it was released). Nisemonogatari is okay, but nowhere near as good as Bakemono (Which is pretty much the universal opinion). I haven't actually seen Nekomogatari Kuro or Second Season yet. I wouldn't necessarily say it's something you need to see immediately, but it is definitely worth your time. Just don't go in expecting action as the show is very dialogue heavy, not that it's a bad thing as the conversations and interactions between the characters are great.

Received this today off Amazon. Bought it off a seller for £66 he only had 56% positive feedback but it come 2days later and in mint condition sealed so i was lucky.

Went to my local Space Centre shop and bought these:

My case isn't damaged but the artbox is the same situation as yours (same for Psycho Pass & Robotics;Notes).

Also, regarding your BD case can you post a screenshot regarding the split issue? I'm just curious.

Sure. My copy of Spice & Wolf season 1 I got years ago had this issue, but not to this extreme. Somehow the bit which keeps the disc flaps in place had also completely come apart in transit >_> Thankfully it was a simple fix.

Just checked my case and it hasn't got any faults. I hope Haganai NEXT's artbox doesn't tilt like the others otherwise I'm gonna go nuts.
