No, absolutely not. I'd rather no-one was able to influence *anything* other than the progress of their own lives, without interfering with other people's. It's not democracy or dictatorship which is the problem, it's government full stop. But people will never be able to live lives free of the interference of others, as they can't stop organising themselves into these bloody little groups with the aim of forcing their ideas on everyone else. It seems to be human nature to try to make people to behave in the way you think they should. And that's all government is; a group of people with shared ideals of how the world should work, which they then force on everyone else. But there is no universal truth. There is no right way for people to live. It's all just utter ****. The the result of human beings coming into contact with one another is an overwhelmingly negative experience, but we seem to need each other as well. To be human - to be alive even - is to be unable to win. Whatever we do in life f*cks someone over, whether it's ourselves or someone else.
