What are you going to collect next year?

In terms of what's going to start coming out, Bokurano and Bakuman... providing they don't cost Berserk-esque prices. I need to finish Bokurano after randomly on-holding it when I came close to the point the anime reached (the philosophical army ladyxfat kid discussion sent me to sleep), and Bakuman was created by team Death Note.

I have all seven volumes (released) of Kurokami at the minute, so I'll be trying to keep up to date with its new releases next year. The same goes for Claymore, although I've had volume 15 for awhile and not read it.

Kim ni Todoke is another title I'll probably start collecting after ordering the first two volumes for £4.39 each. With volume four not out until next year, it'll be easy to collect.

I need to read all 17 volumes (re-reading 12) of FMA I own and my seven volumes of NANA (re-reading four) in order to decide what to do about them. I'll no doubt keep reading but I want to at least read what I own in full before buying more.

And, of course, there's always Bleach and Naruto. Once I buy volume 39 of Naruto, I'll own 1-45. Oddly enough, volume 45 ends at the exact chapter I on-holded the series when I stopped reading it on the net. Once I get 50 volumes, I'll started re-reading it. As for Bleach, I don't really care; I'm just collecting it because I own so many volumes and it's cheap.

There's plenty of released in full/close to full titles I want, too. I'm going to need to buy Drifting Classroom because only 2.5/11 volumes are on the net. The same goes for With the Light - a manga dealing with autism which isn't on the net at all. I'll also more than likely be attempting to buy all 18 volumes of Eden.

I think I will be collecting more manga in the coming year. I've bought more recently than I have in a long time, collecting all of the released Gunsmith Cats & Black Lagoon volumes.

Next I want more Sonoda, so Cannon God Exaxxion is high on my list. I might finally, grudgingly open my wallet and finish off my Shirow collection - this is Dark Horse country, so some of those prices are never going to drop. You have personally stoked my interest in GTO and Bokurano Aion, but the first is a long term commitment (and heavy investment) which I'm not sure I'm ready to make. The same goes for 20th Century Boys, which I've wanted to read since watching the first live-action film.

Not too much due to space (and financial) concerns. Certainly the rest of Akira, Yubisaki Milk Tea, and Sundome (which is long past the point of being interesting, but I need to see if all that teasing has a payoff). More Yotsuba.

In terms of starting series, Bokurano, the two volume short story collection What a Wonderful World, and the one-shot Sexy Voice and Robo.

I am not sure if I am going to go out particularly for anything new next year. More than likely I will just keep plodding on with with the titles I am getting unless they finish or something catches my eye. I may look out for some short things that are completely out so I know I am not gong to get into another long running series which may never get a full release.

I'm gonna keep on collecting Gantz as it comes out. I plan on buying most of the Sig IKKI series as they as they get published in tankobon format. I'm also gonna buy the rest of The Drifting Classroom and Parasyte plus buying some more Blade of the Immortal if I have enough money.

Currently getting Claymore, Higurashi and Fate / Stay Night when they come out and trying to catch up with Negima.
Once I've done that I might get more Berserk, or go for One Piece. I want Hunter X Hunter too, but I'm not sure what that's like to get, as I couldn't see that many volumes when I checked online before.

Unless you like paying new for used, yellowed stock, your chances of buying GTO aren't good. I doubt every volume is still in stock. eBay is probably your only hope.

I'm pretty confident you'll like Bokurano. You, like me, dislike the world, and children get killed constantly in it. Anyone who hates children can get something out of seeing a lot of them die over a short period of time.

Kitoh's a cool guy, really. You wouldn't want to leave your kids with him, going on how all his stories involve ****** up things happening to younglings, but apart from that he's a-ok.

I'm going to be boring and carry on with the list of manga I'm already collecting, which has dwindled to just being Gintama, Zetsubou-sensei, Nana, Detroit Metal City and Blade of the Immortal. Cancellations of almost everything else I was reading in 2009 has soured me on picking up new series until they look as though they will be completed.

Bakuman will probably be a pick up at some point as well as 20th Century Boys.

I'm pleasantly surprised that you seem to be getting into NANA and Kimi ni Todoke, Aion. Not as surprised as I should be though, I vaguely remember you saying that you liked Confidential Confessions.

I was unpleasantly surprised when, many months previously, you added me on MAL and, even after I messaged you, you never attempted to converse with me. I deleted you in anger.

(I was thinking about messaging you the other day; after once again seeing you liked delinquentxglasses girl. But I had being ignored by jailbait.)

I like a bit of everything, me. Shoujo/josei focus heavily on emotions and romance, and in-depth character development appeals to me. I'm also in touch with my feminine side; able to appreciate a good romance. Only recently I read Mars, #2ing it.

Of course, being male, I have my limits. Before on-holding the Kimi ni anime, I was constantly annoyed by its army of deranged fangirls.

"OMG, Sawako blushed/came when she had her name wrote by generic shoujo male #1243343! I CRIED!!!!!"

I'm sat there, with a straight face, and all these nutty girls are in need of tissue? Please.

I'm hoping I'll enjoy the manga more. The anime seemed to stop moving forward after the first two episodes. Kare Kano 2.

But it comes with tattoos! Well, the first volume does. After that you have already been sucked in.

I keep meaning to grab the anime/movie versions from Yesasia at some point. I fancy it's the type of series which is differently enjoyable in print and on screen.

I had to check back, as I assumed you'd messed up the quotation tags and were actually replying to an Aion post when I saw some moaning about price. ^^;

Looking at the listings, it is a pretty large binding compared with manga usually, which is I guess the (pointless) reason for the high price.

I am currently in a state of denial about how much I spend on manga, and will continue to be until the exchange rate improves. ;_;
