Or rather, they are looking into it. It could be interesting. A lot of its concepts are pretty western to begin with so its not like adapting Naruto or something very Japanese. I doubt anything will come of it but I guess you better start your hatemail.

They will most likely replace Katanas with guns and call them Zanguntou's instead? But it would be nice if they stuck with the source material 100% (wont happen though!)

"Tite Kubo's "Bleach" is reportedly being picked up by Warner Brothers for a live-action adaptation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Get Smart" director Peter Segal and his Callahan Filmworks partner Michael Ewing are in talks to produce "Bleach" in conjunction with Viz Media."

He wants it as a news post for the front page, but for why Chaos favours to make a new thread entirely is beyond me. IIRC, Paul and occasionally melonpan tended to just link the newsposts to the pre-existing thread somehow.

OK this is will suck like hell.

Although, will it actually leave the drawing board? There was been talk about alot of different adaptations over the last couple of years but nothing has really come of any of them.
 
I think I just died a little inside thinking about another western cinema anime adaptaion/rape! o_O

Seriously though, I can't see anything good coming out of this. I can even see them getting Shia leBouf to play as Ichigo: They defend the world from nasty CGI hollows untill Pam's evil brother (Pam is Orihime, her name is changed as it's easier to prnounce for the American audience) who recently died and was turned into a hollow wants revenge for no apprent reason. He and captures his living sister, Shia goes to save Pam and confronts the hollow brother. He beats him and goes to finish him off, but not before Pam gets in the way saying how she's his brother, Evil hollow takes the chance to attack Shia, but Shia kills him with his sword without meaning to. We see the hollow's spirit turn to normal and tell Pam it's okay, and that he will miss her, before Shia kisses her on the rocky hill and we see the credits roll

Almost, just replace Shia leBouf with Robert Patterson and insert some Asian woman in here late 20s-early 30s to play Rukia (probably a Chinese actress like Maggie Q, as there are no Japanese actors in Hollywood).
