Viz's new spine logo

It's ugly and I hate it. There was nothing wrong with the action logo and I can't see why they would want to keep changing things around just to annoy obsessive complusive people like myself. :)

Well i've said my piece.

You mean which took the place of the "Action" one?

Yeah, I hate it too, it makes volume 8 of my FMA manga stick out and looks stupid.
 
I totally hate it when companies change their logo especially when they publish a certain series with their logo on the spine, then half way they change it making the other half of the Mangas with their new logo.

For example, when Tokopop started puting those massive red things on top of the spine. I thought it ruins the lovely book-like illustratoin at the top, if you know what I mean.
 
God knows why Tokyopop decided to use that ugly red logo. The older one that was just an outline of the logo looked slick. No reason to keep changing things around constantly.
 
I really like the big Tokyopop logo. :/

Just looks way cooler to me than the white smudge that was there before.
 
Personally I'd prefer a white smudge to a huge red mastadon invading my vision. It's irritating having 12 out of 14 love hina books with the 'smudge' and 2 with the red thing. Gah!!

A change of logo mid-series is annoying but if you are buying the books as they come out over several years then it is something that can't be avoided. Much worse is to have odd books, or book, of the one logo interspersed among the rest of the books with another logo.
 
It was unnecessary to change the logo, now Read Or Die 3 stands out even more :cry:
Tokyopop's change was also unnecessary, but it's been around so long that most of my manga has the new logo.
 
I find this kind of thing very annoying also, the previous Viz logo was fine, why do they all seem to want to change to icky red logos, whats it trying to say, i hate red. But i think whats worse than this is the change DMP are making to their Yaoi manga, they've always published their stuff in really nice big volumes with nice glossy slip coveres, but now they've changed the slip covers to really dull paper, looks really tacky now, and they get damaged alot more easily
 
I hate to see my manga collection's spine logo change. (randomly off-topic but my naruto volume 7, the printing on the spine is so shabby, everything has been lowered. so that its not even with the other book's spine. and the black line at the bottom is not even there!)

i'm just happy that my Love Hina manga collection is not tampered with the spine-syndrome. :) they all have the original white Tokyopop logo.

Yeah...I have to agree with you. My Love Hina set is 11:3 white to red and even though I personally prefer the red logo, those three stick out like a sore thumb. :/
