Virgin removed the Anime Section DX

Yeah, somehow in Bradford. They removed the anime section for somewhat strange reason, and they were doing a load of deals before its removal (like 5 anime DVD for £30 which includes a Load of Studio Ghibl and anime like She, The Ultimate weapon).

The question is, Have your Anime section been removed in your Virgn Megastore, or does it still lives. I'm kinda really upset now, since all of my DVDs came from there.
 
Well the one in our HMV seems to have gotten bigger due to the War section getting smaller. They have quite a few boxsets in as well(Stand Alone Complex, Gunslinger Girl, Haibane Renmei, Lain, Love Hina and so on...). Don't know about Virgin though.
 
My local Virgin would be in Croydon although I haven't been there for ages. I don't buy many anime DVDs in shops, i usually get them off Amazon :p
 
The virgin here is poor on anime. They rarely get anything *new* in - they get new stock but nothing recent. MVC, before it went belly up, used to be by far the best in Exeter, but when Music Zone took over it went worst.

HMV is the only shop with a selection worth thinking about now - though I am generally buying over the net these days.
 
The anime section in the Manchester branch is to be quite blunt - piss poor.

HMVs anime section though, just seems to be getting bigger, it's just a pitty that Play.com is a hell of a lot cheaper. :?
 
Both Virgins near me got closed so i wouldn't know.It'd be interesting to see if this is the same for the huge London Virgin though as i remember it having quite a large anime section last time i went.

My local virgin in Brighton seems to have all its titles, even a few offers on naruto, ghost in a shell etc

Most smileys are read from left to right, like normal english, even I cant understand why people put smileys right to left.
 
Its been ages since i have bought any anime from virgin, mainly because now they removed the anime section and so now all the anime they have is spread throughout the shop, so it takes forever to find everything. HMV though still has a large variety.
 
virgins anime section here isnt bad at all considering... but hmv's is HUGE but im banned from there for being drunken and disordering... namely telling the security to take his fat ass and **** off ¬_¬

Same with my store, its close to the HMV store though; i like to buy from HMV more than Virgin, it just has a better atmosphere. :D. Virgin tends to be a fair amount cheaper if i can be bothered to search around the entire store; but since the close proximity of both stores; i check both, HMV first of course.
