Virgin seem to be gradually removing the anime sections from all their stores and simply mixing in their anime in with everything else. My local store removed the anime section last year, but that hasn't stopped them including various anime titles in their special offers. HMV are better for anime though, they always have been.

Lets see in virgin at Brighton the anime section has been reduced and they've done what my local mvc(rest in peace) did and stick next to the erotica, the anime section also seems to have series replaced with box sets.
Meanwhile in hmv due to the martial arts sections conquest of world cinema the anime section has been able to perform a flank attack and steal a couple more columns. their selection is better and they seem to restock more frequently although i still don't trust them to have anything except new releases in stock and sometimes they don't even have those.
