Synopsis:

This anime follows the bizarre adventures of a new teacher at a school where the students are actually assault rifles that have taken the form of moe girls.

Sound strange? Well the girls are named after the guns with FNC voiced by Iori Nomizu (Haruna in Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Of the Dead) and M16A4 voiced by Misuzu Togashi (Mai in Nichijou, Yukiteru in Mirai Nikki).

Directing the series is Takao Kato who has worked on Busou Renkin and Blue Seed. Handling the scripts is Naruhisa Arakawa who is another Blue Seed veteran as well as writing Onigamiden and Martian Successor Nadesico. Studio Xebec have a history of combining moe and military hardware considering they were responsible for Ground Defence Mao-chan.

^ Inorite? When I started watching, I was like "WHERE ARE THE NOSES?!" (even though the average anime nose is like, 2 black lines).

Also, no PP7? James Bond is disappoint...well, I guess they are assault rifles and not pistols...

Is it that fecking hard to draw noses, Xebec?
I shall answer in their stead: yes.
There are many nuances to the form of the human nasus — so many, in fact, that the ability to accurately depict one is often a distinguishing sign of a draughtsman's virtuosity.

To put my claim into perspective, here are some noses I recently drew for the sake of example:

^

I doubt I'll be watching this. The images of school children toting AK-47's and other realistic rifles seemingly in jest, just doesn't sit too comfortably with me. Though, neither does 0:33 in the trailer. Just seems like cheap moe gun porn to me.

I didn't say "draw well". I said actually draw one.

The character designs remind me alot of Kanokon, but the show looks ALOT less ecchi.

I noticed this as well, I think the only good show to come from this character design was Ladies vs Butlers. This is not going to make me watch it though.

Akikan anyone?

Not the centre of attraction me thinks. But I'm sure their renditions of nipples and camel toes will be impeccable.
Also, let's not forget their renditions of the weapons.

Guns, nipples and camel toe. That's what they'll prolly be focusing on.

This is the latest "thing" now in Japanese otaku pandering, is it? We've moved on from the objectification of women to the womanification of objects?

Box quote found.

The premise is ridiculous enough that I'm tempted to give it a shot just for the hell of it, but that trailer makes it look absolutely terrible. And where's AK47-tan?

Now there's a quote to remember.

I'm sure that anime studios have a check list of objects NOT turned into moe girls yet. Next season we'll be getting kettles, I bet.

That would please the effeminate man-service/BL crowd and the moe girl loving crowd at the same time. It's surely only a matter of time. *shudders*

But I already have every episode of Ranma 1/2...

On topic this doesn't interest me at all, unsurprisingly.

Thanks for posting this, the first paragraph of the synopsis had me chuckling. A nice post to see on the front page after seven months away from the site!

No way I'm watching it though, 0:33 does indeed look... wrong.
