Upcoming UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Artwork

Okay, that Bleach box is so much cooler than the first one. Great Visored art one side, Hollow Mask Ichigo on the other (and I stand by my opinion that the hollow mask was cool and should not have been ignored later on).

Hmm, I never watched that series, so I had looked at that cover art and figured I would skip over that one - especially since it shows a little floaty-creature sidekick character, which is usually a turn-off for me. But now that you said that, maybe I'll have to preview a few episodes... 🤔

I can't watch Crunchyroll so all I have seen for it is the little highlight clips they've put on youtube, but it's absolutely not the lighthearted comedy that cover art makes you think it might be. There is an element of comedy but it's more of a dark comedy type, not the hyper type with those high pitched voices you dislike. I never saw the floaty sidekick in any of the short clips I watched, so I don't know what or how much of a role it plays in the show though.

Not that my opinion on shows should influence you given what I think I know of your tastes, but it's the only one of the above group that I will be getting.

I think I remember you like shows where a character solves mysteries? This is one of those. I'll quote the little summary blurb from anidb (Isekai Shikkaku - Anime - AniDB):

An adventure in another world with cute girls by your side and video game-like powers–sounds like an anime fan's dream, right? Not so for melancholic author Osamu Dazai, who would quite literally prefer to drop dead. Video games haven't even been invented yet when he gets yanked into another world in 1948. Really, all the fantastical adventure he keeps running into is just getting in the way of his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die. But no matter how much he risks his hide, everything seems to keep turning out okay.

When I looked up the series on Crunchyroll, I found I must have watched the first 6 episodes when it first came out, but when I started in on the first couple of episodes, I only vaguely remember anything from it. I've been enjoying the re-watch, though, definitely dark humor, which is more my style of comedy, for sure.

I'm also currently watching Why Does Nobody Remember Me in this World, I just finished episode 10 now, and I am enjoying that as well, since I'm a big fantasy and isekai anime geek.

I want to check out Wistoria Wand and Sword, too.

I'm no fan of steelbooks in general and find them impractical (metal with sharp edges and fragile discs don't mix in my opinion) but I think the art on that one for 86 is really nice.
