Upcoming UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Artwork

Ah man, and there I was hopeful that I could put that strangely apportioned boxset to better use.

Oh well, nevermind, these days I'm just glad to have physical releases of my favourites (just look at Disney+ and Netflix).

Is Crunchyroll still doing any kind of public announcements or press releases for the UK blu-rays? The images above are the first anything I've seen for their March releases, and after seeing that post I checked and they are on the preorder page at AOL. Neither February or March is up at AL yet though. Crunchyroll used to have the announcements in their site news, though not always easy to find but these two months aren't there, or I couldn't find them.

As mostly the UK versions are coming either the same month or one month later than US, I was surprised there is no Shield Hero season 3 yet for the UK.

Like you say, they used to post an article every few months on their website for what they would be releasing within the UK. But tbh I don't think they can be bothered anymore, though saying that every now and again AnimeNewsNetwork post their own article about what Crunchyroll will release in the UK. So that's probably the closest thing nowadays to an actual public announcement/press release from Crunchyroll.

As for AOL listings, this is just my hypothetical guess that Crunchyroll sends an email to @MVM notifying them with a list of titles they will releasing each month. Then whoever oversees the management/update of anime-on-line's website, updates those listings as and when told to.

Lastly as for your query about shield hero season 3, that's not due out in the US until the end of February, so a potential UK release barring any delays won't happen until at the earliest, sometime between March and May.

I think I see now what confused me on this. I know there has typically been a delay of a month or two between the US and UK releases, but I noticed with these latest announcements that 100 Girlfriends and Railgun S are releasing in March for both territories. However, looking again I see both are early in March for the US and late March for UK, so not quite a full month apart but still three weeks or so. And Shield Hero S3 is end of February for the US, so the earliest it would have been for the UK would have been late March so nothing unusual indeed.

We usually get a pre-release email with information along with when the titles can be announced. Crunchyroll sometimes sends out two announcements a month, so there will probably be some more titles being announced in January.
