A French label (AB Group) did release Dragon Ball on Blu-ray relatively recently (not sure if they ever finished it). They did quite a good job too and managed to source the original Japanese audio for their release.

Unfortunately, French subs only.

Selecta Visión in Spain also had a crack at releasing the OG Dragon Ball on Blu-ray. But again, Spanish subs only.
 
The French release was put on hold forever after the first half - quite sad as they had by far the best audio & video quality.

Spain, Germany & very soon Italy also had Blu-rays, with Spain & Germany using the same upscale. Italy might feature the same...
None of these is English-friendly

It ain’t that big of a gap! Crunchyroll seemingly has no real interest in doing Limited Edition releases past a show’s first season (with exceptions.) It begs the question of why even bother offering them because it only serves to frustrate collectors. I can’t imagine it helps sales either since there’s no longer a reason to immediately pre-order it if there isn’t a LE release available. You just end up sticking it on the back burner until a decent enough sale rolls along.

Pretty much this. If it's standard edition, I'll wait because I know it'll come down later and won't run out early. Done that with a few recently for under half the cost they normally are at.
