On another note: there is a typo in the Funimation List. Sankarea:Undying Love is missing the n in Sankarea. Just letting you know.

Anime works/media blasters
Rio Rainbow Gate confirmed B playable.

Since I'm buying many of the AW/MB BDs i'll check them and add them if/when they are B playable.
I still remember seeing somewhere that all Anime works BD are region free but I'll check to make sure.

Much appreciated as I've been wondering about some of their stuff, including Rio: Rainbow Gate :).

The US 4K UHD of Weathering With You is region locked? A WTF development indeed.
That's a sad development. I always heard that UHD was region free, but never thought about the fact that it could still reference the region or country code registers. Was the region free nature of UHD blu-ray actually ever part of an actual specification or was it simply "how it was done" (until now that is)?

This has piqued my interest. If I had access to the MovieObject.bdmv and the jar files (in case the disc uses BD-J), I would probably be able to figure out how the disc does it. As tempted as I am to buy it right now, it's quite pricey and I already have the AL one pre-ordered.

Now if someone happens to have the disc and a disc drive with BDXL support connected to their computer...
