Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

Anyone know if the American blu ray of golden time (the complete one with the English dub) will work on region b/uk players? Trying to hold off buying a region free player yet

I would hazard a guess it will be geolocked but as I don't actually own a copy I couldn't say for sure.
It's something I've been wanting to upgrade to but with new stuff coming out it gets pushed down the list a bit.

Discotek Media Region 2:
Cromartie High School

I've just finished the Litebox version of Genshiken 2. I was able to watch all episodes on all discs without issues, so this newer release is region 2 compatible, while the older one isn't. It's up to you if you want to re-add this specific version to the list or not.

Titles that are compatible with PlayStation consoles for Blu-ray:
Kimi ni Todoke (not just LE, but Standard as well)

It's been mentioned several times in this thread before, but certain Discotek blu ray titles that are supposed to be region locked can be bypassed. One anime that I own that was mentioned was Aho Girl and I've been successful in bypassing the region locking on a PS3, PS4 and a PS5. I'm aware that it doesn't work on all blu ray players which makes things more difficult. Even so, I think it would still be nice to have a list of these titles on the first page for those interested since the Sentai bypass method also primarily works on a PS3/4/5 (and can also be found on page 1). This bypass is even easier to pull off since it only requires to press a single button.

A small guide (feel free to use it):

----

The Discotek Bypass Method (PS3/4/5)
Most Discotek blu ray titles are locked to region A. However, on a select number of titles the user operations weren't removed on the region lock screen. Because of this, it's possible to bypass the region locking. The bypass method is confirmed to work on a PS3, PS4 and PS5. Other blu ray players may work as well, but several users have stated to run into issues on other devices.

Bypass Guide
1) When the Region Lock screen appears, press the 🔲 button (top menu button).
2) The main menu appears. You should now be able to do everything as usual.

Blu-ray Disc Tested as Region A and Works Under the Bypass Method for B:

Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog
Aho Girl
As Miss Beelzebub Likes It
Astro Boy
Fusé
Lupin III Part I

----

User Scavenger gave a list of titles that are supposed to work (see the guide above), although I can't confirm it myself since I only own Aho Girl. He checked these titles on a PS3, so it's at least safe for this list.

I have plenty more Discotek blu ray titles to go, so I'll keep updating which ones do and which ones don't work.

I have moved the bypass method for the Sentai method further down the page and have done a Discotek Media one too.

So the way this goes is we need to wait until a particular release is out to be sure it's region B compatible because there's no real rule?

Was looking into the Ranking of Kings PT 2 CE and region info but didn't have much luck.

I like to be 100% sure as Funimation in the past have mistakenly A locked certain titles (Soul Eater part 1, disc 2 of Aria the Scarlet Ammo & Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero) when the packaging stated that they would be region B compatible.

Crunchyroll's website lists the regional code as 1,2 & 4 for the DVD & A/B for the Blu-ray.

Duh, didn't think to check their site, I'm intelligent like that.

Thanks! I think I'll take the plunge, just don't know when.

Kind of annoying that they don't seem to be consistent about it.

I put both parts on my cart but yeah, I'll wait, kinda expensive for something I may end up not being able to watch.

Thanks!
