UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

nobody got their AL mystery boxes yet ?

Mike, you might be a tad optimistic with that query: I daresay most have not yet even had their orders dispatched for xmas tat. My day 1 Bleach BOGOFF!s are unsent, at the very least. And what could be more urgent than that?

Pre-orders are seemingly a priority one (a good thing given they've had my monies accuing interest for months tbh) and, AL being AL, they wisely opted release PB / Cyberpunk / Devilman during the sale. They're probably targetting the end of '12 Days Same Exact s...Items' to dispatch. Or knowing AL, next year. One of two. Maybe?

Fyi, there were some pretty good guesses based on what not in sales, earlier in thread. Ie Chaika/Kaiji S2 in CE sale, yet no sightings of S1 of either. Thus, they are dead certs for the TV bundle(s?). If ye look what missing, thine answer will come from within, if not without~

Yeah you might have to wait for orders to dispatch after the Christmas sale, if you want to find out what they have before the sale ends, you have to take the shot and buy one before it ends.

Speaking of which, has anyone gotten their MVM clearance bundle with the 2 new additions? if so, im curios what they are.

Blue Giant is today’s Flash deal at £14.99

@SkwigglesWorth
I’m not sure how or what has happened, but the prices for the MVM bundles in the first post are incorrect (aside from the pot luck).
They should all be either £9.99 or £19.99, but the table seems to have randomly reallocated some pennies:
Bundles (Mystery Box & Disc Pots) List:
2025 Random Box Bundles:2025 Price:
10 Disc Pot Luck MVM Bundle Blu-Ray£7.99 - OOS
10 Disc Pot Luck MVM Bundle DVD£4.99 - OOS
Christmas Clearance Mystery Bundle Blu-Ray£9.45 for 5 titles, no half-sets
Christmas Mystery Bundle 1 Blu-Ray£20.40 for 5 titles, no half-sets
Christmas Mystery Bundle 2 Blu-Ray£19.47 for 5 titles, no half-sets
Christmas Mystery Bundle DVD£10.71 for 5 titles, no half-sets

Thats what they were on release day and its what I paid for the sets I bought on that day, but yes the prices have changed (I don't know when they changed).
But also I' not sure why the initial prices were so varied (maybe to allow for easier free postage), but probably more likley something to do with the system and adding VAT and there valuation of each set

That's a super lackluster flash sale.
I think breaking seasons into parts is one of the dumbest things ever. But that aside... this doesnt feel worthy of a 12 Days of Christmas daily deal.

Still waiting for something big!

I agree on this one. The sets have been out for over a year now and the flash sale only drops £10 each below their EB prices.

As for splitting seasons up, 2 cour seasons like this are nearly always split up. Good thing you weren't around 20 years ago when this would have been split over 6-8 dvds at £30 each.

I am dismayed by both the lack of activity in this thread, and your lack of overflowing excitement at the prospect of paying £70 instead of £90, for two parts of the same box set. It IS worth it... depending on the affection you hold for rabbits 🐰 🐇 ; of this I will guarantee.

In all seriousness though, Anime Limited need to watch their bottom line. Ever since Andrew (RIP) passed on from more involved/passionate ventures, the reality is these sales were only ever stock clearances. Once you accept that, much like Christmas itself, that the '12 Days of Christmas' is a commercialised lie, you'll be a happier person.

And just think: as snippy samurai is telling you, it was only a decade or two ago when anime fans were expected to buy up to seven individual DVDs, each with 4 (at most) eps on. SEVEN! And before that? Video tapes, with actual tape that players readily ate... my God, the mind boggles. So, really: do you think paying £70 - with 10-15% off, even - for only TWO releases on blu-ray is that bad of a deal? If I were you, I'd order. Right now. Waiting for a tomorrow that may never come is the wrong mentality to have. Just seeing Subaru's dad holding him in a headlock on that most lovely of art box spines should be enough of an incentive.

@usnapoleon is perfectly correct, though:
  • It’s been out long enough that most people willing to pay the higher prices to guarantee a copy will have done so. Likewise, most of the rest will have bought their standard editions.
  • It was originally going to be a single set, before AL took over the title, and split it. I can’t honestly say I see a benefit in them doing so (other than it taking an awful lot longer to finally release, after the original was ready to go or released in other markets)
  • If it keeps getting sold as a “bundle”, that pretty much admits there’s no point in splitting the season in the first place. As a subset of this point; I only bought the two parts together. I’d simply avoid purchasing one part while the other hasn’t been released because there’s pretty much no point.
  • A “flash sale” item over a year old being discounted by about 22% (£90 to £70) doesn’t really seem deserving of such a slot. Regardless of if it’s AL or Tesco, you would expect a “flash sale” to be an incredible discount, practically a loss-leader.
  • And the same somewhat goes for the other “flash sale” items: I’ve come to conclude that they’re not really unmissable big discounts, but simply for some reason to prevent people from getting free delivery by ordering several such titles.
  • I certainly don’t find myself hurrying to check out the flash sales like last years’ “last chance to buy”. I’ll likely still buy, but am in no hurry if the discounts aren’t big and unlikely to run out. I’ll just umm… and ahh… and think about adding one of those titles I missed earlier for the free delivery.

It was simply a case of me not rounding up the percentage for discount initially, when I thought I had.

And for anyone wondering with our Christmas bundles, we're having terrible delays with stock getting to us (as per usual with Christmas). We're just getting partial shipments each day (still waiting on stock ordered from the 2nd!) which of course is all the bundle stock. Piles of stock semi-ready to go, just can't do anything with them as we're missing the other titles. So naturally patience is always appreciated!

Thank you, Google: your bullet points have opened my eyes to the truth. I was going to make the mistake of ordering two parts of what should be one complete set; deceived by the price being cut in half. The sad reality is, Anime Limited are not trying and, in fact, their most recent flasher 'sale' is a thinly veiled attack on their loyal customers. Why would I pay £70, even with an extra 10-15% off on top of the 22%? I would surely have pre-ordered, were I willing pay THAT much. And what is the point of a 24hr flash sale for such minuscule amounts!?

We don't want Blue Giant as a flash sale offering: we want GIANT discounts. If the next flash sale is not satisfactory, we should let them hear our combined e-voice. I will support you at 5pm in getting our message across.
