Right, as its two weeks over and done with, Slayers' weeks are done and now we're onto Trigun. So Rewatching or starting a-new, discussions can go here.

So far i've only managed to get the first DVD, finding the rest of the singles is annoying, so i may go for the new boxset once its released next week i think it is.

Aye the new boxset is out nextweek, although i wonder what prompted MVM to re-release it.

Trigun is a great series though, one that i would recommend to those who have yet to see Vash the Stampede in action.

I still wish there was more info about the new movie

I'm tempted to buy the old Trigun set that Anime On Line are currently selling for £20. But what I've heard about the ending doesn't exactly make me eager to watch it.

I think that Trigun is good, although surprisingly I never latched on to it greatly. I thought that it was just my type of anime too. I got quite far into it before I, somewhat, uncounsiously started watching an different series.

It is good though. I would say it was a 7/10 anime, for me.

I bought the two steel tin sets when they were released in the States a couple of years ago, very nicely package. The series is well worth watching for anyone who is new to it and can put up with sometimes slightly lacking production values. I'll try to rewatch it for the themed weeks.

When I watched it, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Having said that though, I couldn't watch more than a few episodes at a time as he really started to get on my nipples after while.

Oh, and it has the typical 'Is that it?' ending that most anime tend to have.

I've watched it 3 times I think in total, one of my top 10.
Never seen the dub though..

I'll be buying the box set over the 2 Trigun weeks and I'll even watch it again if I get time to.

Love and Peace

I never really liked Trigun. We have all the original R1 singles (actually we had them all twice when we merged so sold a set...). My husband likes it more than I do. It was built up as being incredible when really it was good, but not something that really broke down walls between different peoples' tastes.

It's the kind of thing I'll watch again one day and probably like more. The vaguely wild west influenced setting was another thing that turned me off as much as it may have attracted others. Swords are way more fun than guns ;)

Some neat design work, though. I think we've all had our fill of Gaav's unshaven shins so I'll join in the avatar tribute.

Love trigun, it is in my top 5 for sure. I also really liked the dub, I think the dubbed voice of vash fits him perfectly, so I cant even watch not dubbed Im too used to it.

I also like the manga as well, but to be honest I surprisingly slightly prefer the anime, as I found the manga a wee bit too gory an such towards the end. Still you gotta love vash

I didn't really like the setting, but the one flashback episode with Vash and Knives of children was utterly brilliant, probably one of the best sci-fi settings I've ever seen. If it was possible I'd want an entire series like that, definately one of my favourite episodes amongst all the anime I've seen.

Most likely because it made me cry. lol.

Dub is awesome too.

I think the reason as to why it did not meet expectations with me was becuase I thought that it would be like Cowboy Bebop, or maybe better. Because Cowboy Bebop is a favourite anime of mine and also one of the first ones I ever watched, Trigun did not pass it as a favourite.

No mention of Wolfwood yet that's a surprise.

I am not sure if it was the first to do what it did, but it has cloned a few anime with similar main story themes running through them.

It really got me towards the end with the where is this going question popping into my head.
