Betcha' a dollar and a dime that Dutch is thinking, "Ah f***... not her again." Seems like Roberta's back, and I hope this season brings some nice killing time. :D
 
Third season, eh? Odd that they call it that since its an OVA. I assume its eight (008) parts? So that's basically a season. I'm hyped.

EDIT: I've been corrected by Clouded, but I typed the original post in a hurry and it made little sense so I've gone ahead and fix it for you.
 
There was about 20 seconds of new footage in that trailer.

I'm psyched to hear that the new series is an OVA. It should mean a higher budget (not that the first two seasons skimped on the action scenes).
 
Black Lagoon made quite an impression on me when I saw it last month. I'm jazzed that we're getting more!
 
They certainly padded that trailer out, all the same I'm pretty damn excited at the prospect of Roberta's return being animated - it'll be interesting to see how the series does in OVA format too.

What makes you think it wouldn't be? Black Lagoon is massively popular in the West and the first two series' were dubbed incredibly well.

As to my reaction, OVA? Hell yeah. Let's have a Blu-ray release of this guys.

Agreed. Along with Cowboy Bebop, I would say Black Lagoon had one of the best dubs in anime ever.

The perfect reason to rewatch the first two seasons - not that one needs a reason.
 
Maryke Hendrikse (is that how you spell her name?) turned in an absolutely STELLAR performance as Revy in the first couple of series, that's for sure.
 
Looking forward to this a lot i will say. I do hope that when it's released, it won't feel as dragged out as the arc in the manga did. I dunno why, but it felt a tad too long. 5 OVAs should just about do it, i would imagine 50 minutes per, but i'll wait and see.

Now i think on it though, the author started the new arc in january, and we've had to chapters since. Febs chapter was only 16 pages too, so no wonder it feels dragged out =/
 
Oh yeah!!! I've been looking forward to this!

I agree with Arbalest however... the manga arc was a bit draggy in places.
hopefully they'll address the issue with the animated version.

While we're on the subject of Black Lagoon, does anyone know what's going on with volume 9 of the books?
Is it delayed, cancelled or trapped in licencing hell? :?

It looks like Viz media are releasing vol. 9 in July but no mention of who is distributing the third series (Funimation has picked up the first two so it will probably be them).
