Yeah, I didn't realize it but phpBB has an in-built function called visual verification that should put a stop to all these random bots signing up. I've now enabled this feature and deleted all of the bots that have signed up over May. Hopefully, this is the end of them.

Blimey, I didn't realise just how many there were this time, we've gone down from something like 204 members to 176 :shock:

176 is still impressive considering how long the site's been going! the merge threads and google search feature are really nice additions as well - i never could get on too well with the standard phpbb search feature. great work Paul

Firstly, we've stopped allowing people to use images in their signatures- they are often too big, look messy and deform the page as well as give people with slower internet connections a hard time loading up the pages. I hope no one is too disappointed by this.

Ah i was wondering about that, i am disapointed but i can understand why you did it so i can accept it easy enough

nope, friends of mine still use it. although it is yorkshire...which explains a lot really.
