Part 1 (DVD/BD Combo) - 29th October 2012!

Today, the UK anime distributor Manga Entertainment revealed on their Twitter page that the first part of Sunrise's highly acclaimed Tiger & Bunny super hero anime will be released in the United Kingdom, courtesy of KazéUK (and distributed by Manga) on 23rd September as a DVD and blu-ray combo pack. KazéUK later Tweeted to say that wasn't the case and Manga have since Tweeted to say that it is out on 29th October and the first movie Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning will have a première on 22nd September.

Meanwhile, starting last week, Tiger & Bunny's official Facebook page has started revealing members of the show's English dub cast, with a new batch of actors announced every few days. Here is a currently confirmed list of actors and actresses:

Sky High (Keith Goodman) = Patrick Seitz (Bleach's Isshin Kurosaki, Fairy Tail's Laxus)
Rock Bison (Antonio Lopez) = Travis Willingham (Fullmetal Alchemist's Roy Mustang)
Dragon Kid (Pao-Lin Huang) = Laura Bailey (Soul Eater's Maka, K-ON!'s Nodoka, Fullmetal Alchemist's Lust).
Blue Rose (Karina Lyle) = Kari Wahlgren (Durarara's Celty, Lucky Star's Kagami).
Fire Emblem (Nathan Seymour) = John Eric Bentley (Can't dig up any any roles. Mainly is an extra for TV shows and games)
Kriem = Stephanie Sheh (Bleach's Orihime, K-ON's Yui, Lucky Star's Akira)
Jake Martinez = Steven Jay Blum (Cowboy Bebop's Spike, Marvel Anime's Wolverine).
Albert Maverick = Jamieson K. Price (Bleach's Chad, Code Geass' Diethard Ried)

EDIT: Andrew from Kazé has kindly corrected the release date, stating that it is out in OCTOBER, not September.

I just noticed - in the image I posted (which is from the official Hulu page) and the one on the official Facebook - both Tiger & Barnaby's sponsors are missing.

Does this mean the dub has had to remove them or what?

I was curious about that before too, but never had any luck finding out (possibly as it hadn't been decided at that point). I'm far more interested in what they do with the corporate logos than the dub >_>;

True fact, it's actually an October release for TB Part 1.

I have something planned in September though...

Well, 23rd September was pretty late in September anyway, so it shouldn't be too long after that, right?

Original post updated. Thanks.

No individual DVD? The bloody swines! I think I already stated my unappreciative position on DVD/Blu ray combo packs in the past. Having to pay for, or even just have things that I don't need is not something I'm fond of. I'm happy for everyone else, though.

Think of it as an investment for when BD Players start costing about as much as a loaf of bread and a pint of milk?

'tis what I've decided to start doing with 3D Blu-rays - buy the BD/3DBD combos as an investment for when 3D TVs come down in price.

I'll sell you the DVDs out of my combo pack if you like.

If you want an idea of what Tiger and Bunny will look like on Blu-ray, get a hold of Bleach The Movie 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion.

In the trailers in the French language menu, you'll find a promo for Tiger and Bunny on Video on Demand, presented at 1080p resolution.

It looks sweet. Very sweet.

Yeah - DVD / Blu ray combo packs don't really bother me - apart form the possibility of paying slightly more thasn i would for a DVD. I think it's a neat move to 'future-proof' purchases.

Nothing meant against Kazé but the way Viz have been screwing around, I'll be supprised if it makes October.
I've heard they've had problems in regards to the sponsors. In fact, if you look at the image used on the official Facebook page, you'll notice that Wild Tiger and Barnaby are lacking their sponsorship logos.
