Tiger & Bunny Part 1 - 29th October

MangaUK says they believe that the premiere will be at Scotland Loves Anime...but surely the 22nd September date doesn't match up with the dates we know SLA are on? (12-14th October in Glasgow, 19-21st October in Edinburgh).

What is SLA like anyway? I'm a complete "Outside of England" virgin, never mind a SLA virgin xD

Imagine going to see a film in a cinema. That's SLA.

Of course, Mr Andrew from Beez provides a nice introduction to each film and is usually joined on stage by Jonathan Clements, who is pretty cool.

The also get guests to come in at talk sometimes, like they had Michael Sinterniklaas one year. He was really cool too.

So yeah, you should totally go if you get the change, I'll attending the Edinburgh weekend myself.
Well, now I know that Tiger & Bunny will be at a currently unannounced September date, I definitely want to go. I just have to rope someone into coming down with me as I don't exactly want to travel all the way up to Scotland on my lonesome.

Viz just confirmed Tiger and Bunny will be available on DVD/BD in North America...Early 2013!

Which is actually pretty good news for us lot over here I Guess ;)

But, They also mentioned something about special announcements for where you can watch their shows in the fall for a later date, I'm guessing that could mean T&B will be airing quite possibly on Adult Swim/Toonami

Hmmm, a delay to early 2013 for here wouldn't surprise me now. Redline and Welcome to the Space Show aside, I'm struggling to think of shows/movies with U.S. dubs that have actually been released here first (Remember when The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was supposed to show up in July at one point? ).

Hoping that I am very very wrong in this case! I stopped watching this on Anime-on-Demand because I wanted to see the rest in 1080p sweetness.

@Ath - with Redline and Welcome to the Space Show though, didn't MangaUK at least partly fund the dubs?

Considering how the release month for the UK was only just confirmed, I would have thought that Kazé and Manga would have been told of any delays in America. Although I have also heard that the delay is due to America being region A as well.

Ahh yeah that's a good point about Space Show being funded by MangaUK. Redline still confuses me a little, I always thought Anchor Bay funded it themselves and released it using the Manga brand so to speak, and for some reason MangaUK got to release it before MangaUS. I have no idea how that one really worked but we got Redline first so I wasn't complaining!

The Region A/B thing causing the delay makes sense come to think of it. Kaze doing a good job at using Region B in our favour for once to prevent reverse importation fears, which should hopefully mean more blus in the future. Maybe this also was the reason we got the Layton movie and are getting Black Lagoon on BD while America hasn't (although the Geneon situation probably factors into the latter more).

Part of me would be curious as to what would have happened had BD mirrored DVD and Europe shared Japan's region code again with America on its own...but anyway that's going off topic. So I'll just say "My ice may be a little cold, but your crime has been put completely on hold!" :p

I reckon Johnny Yong Bosch is going to be cast as Barnaby (mirroring Masakazu Morita) but I can't think of a good choice for Kotetsu. Kyle Hebert maybe?

There may be a delay of a month or so worst-case, but I'm not sure much beyond that as I was assured a date for delivery of dub. We'll see - but I did check very recently on it.

I'll update everyone as soon as anything comes up though!

Andrew

Ahh, this also sounds gdlk! What a good day of catching up on news this has been, and I haven't even read the main Expo thread yet.

Missing the sponsor logos would suck, though, as much as it was obviously a potential issue.

Nice.

Oh well, it has been delayed to early 2013 as expected
Bad news for Tiger and Bunny, we have to delay the release to start of 2013 due to the dubbing schedule changing! Very sorry!
I'll still be picking this one up when it is released!
