Third Window Films will release Ruined Heart: Another Love Story Between a Criminal and a Whore on December 07th which is Monday next week. The story may sound overly familiar but it is shot in a unique way thanks to the work of cinematographer Christopher Doyle, the man who helped Wong Kar-Wai achieve the look of his early films like <em>Chungking Express</em> and <em>In the Mood for Love</em>.

The combination of Philippine cult director <strong>KHAVN</strong> (Mondomanilla), famed cinematographer <strong>CHRISTOPHER DOYLE</strong> (In the Mood for Love), Japanese superstar <strong>TADANOBU ASANO </strong>(Ichi the Killer, Vital), Mexican newcomer <strong>NATHALIA ACEVEDO</strong> (Post Tenebras Lux) and German synth-pop duo <strong>STEREO TOTAL</strong> make for a wild ride you won’t forget!
Somewhere in Manila, a crime boss rules with an iron fist. He uses religion and violence to stay in power. What superstition and razzle dazzle don't accomplish, his goons do. To his most loyal henchman he gives the task of guarding his woman, who is headstrong and impulsive, and often gets into trouble. Before long, she falls in love with the henchman, and the star-crossed lovers decide to leave town. Fighting ensues. It is while on the run that they finally get to know each other for the first time.
