The number of new members in November

I was just wondering how much busier it was at the end of last year. Obviously there isn't as much activity as in the Summer, but I don't remember such a long run of sub-3000 post months before.

Its close, but both December and January are yet again, sub 3000 post months. I have been wondering but is this site slowing down a lot.

I kid, but I do remember it being a lot more active when I first joined this time last year.

The real question is back when we had more posts, were they all in the forum games section? Also, how many of our current posts end up in the General Conversation thread?

I'm not so worried about AUKN's quantity of posts, really. More so, the quality.

fwiw, I agree that as long as there are threads actually discussing anime (like Godot's GitS:SAC thread) that are active, the overall number of posts is pretty irrelevant. Sure was gutted that we missed out on the 3k by two posts though, haha.

Yeah - I mean I know it seems odd coming from me as I rarely venture from the Random/Gaming/Media sections - but I figured it'd be worth in future just trying to create activity out of things that were just going on anyway. The GitS:SAC thread seems to be going well :)

It has been eerily quiet in March though.
Even if I had posted twice as much in March as I did in January, it would still have been pretty much the quietest month ever, yeah.

Of course its not like we missed you or anything. S-so don't get the wrong idea or anything B..BAKA!
I lulzed.

Checked the stats and couldn't resist an attempt at "a Jaymii" when I saw this:

I like the sound of this idea, please tell me more about this "internet" of which you speak so highly.

No, seriously though, that actually sounds quite good for random crap like this, might have a look.

So I was looking at the statistics page and couldn't help but notice that this month there have been 4-5 times more new members than the site usually gets. Is this what chaos has been doing in his absence? Bribing people to join the site, possibly with "favours"? (I believe this is how he got Aion to sign up.)
I like that.

That's... a disappointingly boring reason. I really wanted to believe in my chaos theory ;_;
Thanks for your faith in me.

Out of Chaos comes order. Well at least when he can be bothered.
it's more about having the time, than anything else.

There are a couple of UK based podcasts so I wonder if we could get one of them to name drop the site or Chaos could do an interview with one about running an anime and manga forum. We could also sponsor or put forward ideas for a panel at a convention.
Mmm, I like this idea. We could do something like this.

Ooh, a panel at a convention would be *ace*, I've always wanted to run one. No idea what it would be about, mind. ^^;
Then let me know if you'd be up to and I'll be happy to negotiate something with organizers.

I'll give chaos a good kick on msn later on to get him to have a look through this topic, see if we can get him to deal with some ideas
I come here more often than I do MSN. I do check facebook every once in a while, as I can access it easily from my phone.

Oh wow, that would actually be amazing... now I have to think about it more seriously.
Next one I'm going to is Fushicon, don't know the organizers, but it's likely one of my contacts know then, so just let me know if you'd really like to do it.
