It just so happened I really liked the author's other work, 'NG Life'. Gave it a go, and the squirrel/pukkyu! sounding like something else excited me greatly. That and Twelve Kingdoms composer OST.

Wonderful news it's getting a continuation after all these years. The manga last I looked still going, 40-50vols, so it must be very popular still.

On a semi-related note, seeing this news made me look how much the anime CE with an art box costs, and there's a great deal on Amazon atm: Yona of the Dawn The Complete Series - Limited Edition
Was £42-50 in past. Ordered it myself for a rewatch now S2 cummin. Best 🐿️ anime ever made.

Totally awesome news about Yona of the Dawn! I can't wait for another season of Yona! I have the UK CE set and both Funimation Parts 1 & 2 Blu-rays in my collection.

I'm actually a very big fan of shoujo, and I'm a 64 year old man - In fact, the majority of what I buy from Discotek are their shoujo releases, including my #3 GOAT anime series Hanasakeru Seishounen. 🤗

Only Violet Evergarden and Apothecary Diaries rank above that most excellent anime for me!

The light novels are finished now, so planning it like that may just allow them to get to the end. Personally, I'm happy to have that sort of confirmation that they'll continue adapting it if that's going to be the case. (I'm actually not sure where the anime is compared to the LNs, especially since it was more based on the manga originally)

T'would be arrogant of one such as myself to think I could compare to you, Girly-dono, but I too own a few shoujo anime from disco: Kodocha and Lovely Complex.
Us middle aged/old men (+Roy) should arrange a cowatch together - at night - so we can enjoy Sana from Kodocha together. Purely for artistic merit, of course.

When I was a younger man, still trying to find myself and yet to become as manly as I now am, I was quite into shoujo, such as Mars/Aishiture Baby. Let us call it... a phase. Alas, I grew weary of no backgrounds/white voids, and that was that. Kept my Please Save My Earth/NG Life books. Sold the rest. Such is lief~

Hadn't considered possiblity of S2 being short, given S1 28eps. Given how high budget S1, a series under half the length promises much visual splendour. Maybelline~

Makes sense though: author went on hiatus after v13 iirc, and think v14 latest in 🗾?
