As to how much of it is actually good... that is a tougher question
. Personally, of the UK releases, I would highly recommend only First Gundam Movie 1 and er... 3. Though you'd want to watch 2 as well obviously
Seed is a pretty good introduction, but the more you watch of other series', the more obviously flawed it becomes. Wing is the same, but far worse... though the upcoming boxsets may be tempting as a cheap way into the series. Don't even consider Seed Destiny until you've ascertained whether you liked Seed AND you've discovered any latent masochistic urges in yourself. It plainly sucks.
Edit: Also, important to note that most of the series produced after Victory Gundam bare no relation to each other and the series that came before which formed one long continuity.
