Then don't mate! You don't have anything tieing you down at that job any more do you? If you were off anyway, you should just tell them you have plans.
Nah, official last day was Friday, I was leaving earlier to chill out a bit.

Call in sick - what are they going to do....fire you?

If you are leaving anyway who cares.
Nothing they can do, basically the guy just wants me to come over to check if I documented everything he wants, but I've beeen through this earlier and I haven't done anything the whole week. But the guy says he's busy and cant'spare 15 minutes to do that now. :(

I could play the sick card, but I know and they know what that really means. And professionalism tells me that the world is round and I'm gonna meet these people again, and who knows? I might even get myself a contract here the next time and it's always good to leave the doors opened.

I've met two people in here that went away and came back some years later.

It's not like I hate the place after all, so if the pay is right, I would come back.

It's just that sometimes people are annoying.

have a good one

I'm about to choose between Barclays and Natwest. From the brochure, both offers the kind of accounts that I want and have good add-ons.

On a related subject, I've finally got round to signing up to the local temping agency.

So far, I have learned that not everyone likes PDF attachments. ('Tis quite a pity, really. I like to use a non-standard font on all my documents. Requesting a .doc instead of a PDF forces me to revert to the ubiquitous Times New Roman for optimal compatibility. Humbug)

jesus christ i just had the worst afternoon ever

all was fine till 3:30, usual day of annoying customers

then the heavens opened, no worries, it's break time, sat down to read my haruhi novel, then manager burst in saying sorry, time to stop, we're flooding

meh how bad could it be, just the back door.......... nooooooo it came from underneath the stockroom, and thus flooded the entire store

so we closed up and spend the next 3 hours mopping up

did a good job then, 6:15 came, and the heavens opened again, all our hard work, washed away in 5 mins. So we gave up, and just walked out lol.

I can beat that. I think I just read a Toy Story 3 spoiler when I was looking at Inception stuff.

Also, what up with the flooding? Like, does it happen often?

In Argos - Fishergate... Yes it does. XD 1st the escalators, now the stockroom. I should give them a present to let me go before I was hit by this new "wave."

Ouch, that sounds bad... Did stock actually got damaged in the process?

Edit: it's lonely in here today...

Morning all!

Had a hellish night last. My brain decided to have an attack at around 7.30pm. It was so bad and lasted so long that I had to crawl into bed at 8.00. The attack continued threw untill midnight when my body finally gave up and I passed out. I hate these god damn attcks!!! The crazy thing is that I woke up at 8.00 this morning and I feel fine again (besides feeling very achy). I thought I was getting better too. TT_TT

Floods at ARGOS? I hope all the stock was on raised crates otherwise I can see they'll have lost a fair few sterling there. I'm glad we don't suffer from floods where I live. Especially considering it rains 90% of the year in the lake district (maybe an over exaggeration).

Edit: Awww... sorry chaos. :p

Morning AUKN people :),
It's Ayase's birthday today! Wherever he is <_<_>...

Voddas I'm pretty sure I've seen attacks like those on the Exorcist, so you might want to get it checked out and call a doctor (or a ghostbuster) :p

isn't Cockermouth in the lake district ;)

and i'd say including stock of mops and buckets we used, we'd of lost around £3/400 of stock

not bad all things considered, but it's more the £3000 of sales we missed due to closing that bothers us

Morning Guys.

@Wisp: Hah, I was wondering why I had the urge to discuss mothers, penises and Hell last night. *throws up green vomit* Oops, sorry.

@Ryo: Actually, when you put it that way, it makes sense they'd lose more just for being closed in the first place. Sucks mate. Hope it gets ressolved so you can go back to work... wait. Heh.

@Manga: The Doc can't do anything about it. Painkillers and steroids for me for the next few weeks (untill I have my next appointment). I just want to be free and clear before Kendal Calling otherwise I'll have to sell my tickets. TT_TT

Woop! My Black Lagoon Boxset came in the post last night! I would have gorged on anime too if it hadn't been for my ill brain.

Morning guys

Voddas, hope the treatment you were suppose to have fix this for you.

Will, yeah, I knew that - was meant to send him an email or somthing later today.

I had good news today. For the first time in the co-ops history(with me working there), i got paid 4 weeks after starting AND, it went straight into my account. Was pretty damned surprised there. However, 100 quid tax? lol no. Shall claim that back.
