The General Conversation Area

It took me a while to watch "Higurashi" too. I was hounded by Black, Mono amongst others. It's not what you expect to be honest. The first series I thought was good because of the style of story line. It does get confusing but as long as you stick with it, you questions are answered. The second series made it for me. Probably mainley due to have ingall the questions answered that had built up. Heh. Warning however, it's far from a light watch.

O_O Just had a craving to watch Tank Police! :p

edit: Haven't seen "Negima" or "Kanon". Both series I'll probably see at some point though... so many.... =_=

Negima, in a nutshell, is Harry Potter meets Love Hina, with no specific villan (not at the point i'm at in the Manga) and the main character is an English Teacher rather than a Dorm Manager

i can't comment on the Anime since i haven't watched it, but i've been reading the Manga for quite a while and it's fairly good if you're into that perverted sense of humor (dirty ol' Ken  )

I know....and i hated it  my gf at the time made me watch it *shudders* so glad i got her to turn it off.....could feel my brain melting.

@Mono: Hello! Good day?

@Voddas: I can resist his constand Higurashi comments, so long as i switch off while he talks about it, or anyone does for that matter ;p I will be honest, i have a bit more interest in its sister series(if you can call it that), Umineko, than i do Higurashi, but even then, i'm still to look into it.

WRT to Negima: I will never watch it. Simple as that. I don't mind the manga, but the anime? No. There is a limit as to where i will tread, and thats it. I'll stick to my Darker than Black, Hellsing Ultimate, and such instead thanks ;p

The manga of Negima does have it's main villian come up after the school trip, however the guy isn't on again until much later in the series with some buddies.

As for the anime, the original series was just based on the 1st arc, some side stories (in typical none-chronological order fashion) and the asuna arc at the end. Wasn't spectacular tbh, as I felt it was very mild for an anime.

As for the later series.... Well I tried. It starts off following the manga, then it goes completely off course... Last time I heard, the newer seasons of Negima?! have gone back to the manga story after the Chao arc, and kept with it, but I stopped much earlier than that, so I'm not sure...

i'm about halfway through the School Festival arc

i'm a bit sceptical about watching the anime due to the fact that it doesn't cover much of the manga, i felt the same with Love Hina after i read that, and was dissapointed that the anime wasn't carried on further

EXACTLY! Ken is one of my favourite manga-kas... but his animes are sh***! I can never get into them properly and it spoils things for me.

Fare enough Arba. Don't blame you for giving it a miss up to now. There's so much to watch and read, there's no point getting badgered into something.
"Darker than Black" is a good choice by the way. ;) :thumb:

I'm much the same with Love Hina, i've never watched the anime and only focused on reading the manga, however after hearing how the anime goes, i've thought it best to just steer clear of the anime version altogether and stick to the manga. Which does remind me, i need to start picking it up again as soon as i can.

Anywho, i need to run anyway, not sure the union is open much longer, so need to head off back to the flat, get some more work done and such and relax for the rest of the evening. See you all later.

*Flies off*

today has not been a good day...

and i need cigarettes... i attempted to go get some but its too windy and my hair looked like it had a life of its own, so i was forced to retreat. bad times.

My day is good so far Arby :) how about yours?

I read the manga for Negima! which I really enjoy and I have also have seen the first series which I also enjoyed

Arby, you coward!! ;) Cya around mate.
Wait... he can fly?! 0-o

Memo... I just watched your 1st vid in the AMV thread. I know the Rammstein one rocks, but the Cannibal one... scares me and makes me cringe...

Think I'll call it a day too. I'll cya some other time. :)
*Fingers against forehead and vanishes*

haha, Cannibal Corpse ^^

it pretty much sums up the violence of Elfen Lied, i was gonna put the AMV which had Hammer Smashed Face (another CC song), but i was afraid that people with epilepsy might watch it

 @ Chaz

Anywhy, I'm gonna make like Arby and spread my wings. So glad I have no plans tonight. looking forward to a chill.

Later all. :D

*Flies off*
