Don't get me started on accents.... =)

I've always tried to put some effort and try to learn the accent from BBC news, but then I would need to actually watch the telly, which puts me off doing so.

Maybe sometime I will. I'm a bad example of Barrovian though, My step parents are Geordie and my grandparents are Scottish. So I've evolved into something completely random. I like it. :3

Apparently my accent sounds foreign.
I've had that too... in this country as well, not just when I was in America and Canada (where you can kinda forgive them). Someone thought I was Ukrainian in Canada. And here an Indian guy asked me what country I was from originally.

Random accent is fun =D

I used to ask people I've just met if they could figure out where I was from based on my accent.

After living in Belfast, I even had a hint of irish in it.

Tell me about it. I'm like a sponge when it comes to accents. It's never on pupose like. It just happens. I remember getting theis piss taken out of me when I went to Barbados for two weeks with friends. By the second week I was propper chilled and satrted saying "mon" (man). That was wierd. o_O

my bf is like that because he was born sligo, grew up in london and lived in belfast for years. its the most random accent ive heard and when he's around any1 with an accent he starts talking like them.

That's me in nutshell. It's nice to be unique but why does my body impersonate others? It's a mystery.

yep, I know about shankill =)

I've lived in front of that that plaza where skaters gather. it was one of those flats in Queen's square.
its a shame I didn't had a balcony, but I loved the apartment. Mchughs was right under my window.

Well. i was born an bred in Yorkshire. till i was 5 then moved to Luton and i try to surpress the Northern accent. there's words that give me away oh and the deep voice doesn't help.

Out of all my family i have the most londoner accent though.
But if i'm near family or with andy (who's scottish)....thats another story completely.....out of nowhere my strong belfast accent flares up.

My dad and his side of the family are irish and yorkshire
My mum and her side of the family are Yorkshire and Scottish
I had no chance

Don't get me wrong...i love listening to my gran talking (dads mum) :)
there's just the thing about being really family and money orientated...that still goes on through the family despite being in different countries half the time.

......Damn you all :( now i'm thinking of cancelling all plans for this weekend and going up to halifax to see my grandparents.

Hmm....depends...if its this saturday then i'll have to send my gf home and then head off to london :) should be able to make it for about 11.

i'll have to let you know nearer the time.

As for sunday...i'll be too hung over lol
