Neither ever really appealed to me. Also, I like hardly any games which use turn based combat - what kind of idiot stops and waits for their opponent to attack? (I'd even prefer VC to be real-time. It would be like Hidden & Dangerous, it would be awesome). If I want to play an RPG I'll go back and play through the Baldur's Gate or KotOR games for the hundredth time. :p

Suspend your disbelief & I'm sure you will enjoy it.

That's the tricky part.
I can no longer play 99% of shooting games due to the exaggerated abilities and resiliency they tend to grant the human body.

Man, I pity you there. :( You have lost your ability to simply enjoy them for what they are.

i can't play shooting games without auto aim... im the worst shot in the history of.... shooting?

Morning all :)

Hope all had an excellent weekend, i know i did....well apart from breaking my rockband drumset :/ but its fixable.....

On the topic of shoot 'em ups.....no matter how much health a person has on a game....one headshot with a trusty snipers rifle is more than enough to get the job done

Friday: Kayleigh stayed over, watched some tv and the descent (good movie) and some other stuff too.
Saturday i spent the day curled up on the sofa with kayleigh watching the incredible hulk. then in the evening the lads came round and we sat joking for abit, kayleigh went home, i went upstairs and got sorted and then we went into town. went to whats become our most used pub - The Park. had a few drinks played 9 games of pool. me and sam woke 5 games, leo and ali won the other 4 mainly due to the fact that leo can't play pool to save his life lol. then sat outside talking and drinkin. walked to a chicken and chips shop and all got some chips (i succumbed to my weakness and ordered chicken burger and chips even though i know that the meat can't be chicken....its rubber)
Then walked home and played PS3, leo wanted to sleep so whilst opening the other side of my wardrobe (which is at the foot of the bed) i tripped over the duvet and landed on my rockband drumset which snapped the red pad completely off, i'll fix it somepoint this week. then sunday we all woke up and Ali and leo had hang overs, i finished off pretty much anything else that had been left open and we carried on playing COD4, in team deathmatch, then them three against me....snipers rifle and a submachinegun + no radar = i stealth killed them 42 times :p

Then playing shipment (if you have the game you'll know how crazy this map can be) and doing knife fights whilst we use smoke grenades for added lolz, at many points of the weekend we where all crying our eyes out laughing so hard. especially when leo played pool xD

Sunday night i was home alone....and noticed that the house makes noises at night. and more than once i woke up...as i'd heard something moving around the house....so at 3am i'm stood there with an airpistol and letter opener patrolling the house. then heading back to bed.

then woke up at 2pm yesterday, tidied up the house and completed Prototype. took me a while to work out how to do the final boss but in the end it died :)
the giant monster in the centre of the map during the game took a fe mins to work out....tried throwing cars, shooting at it, all the weapons the character has, in the end i worked out that a hit and run tactic is the only way to kill it and funnily enough i just jumped over it over and over again passing diagonally between 2 buildings one was too high for its attacks to kill me, the other had a sign that i used as both a shield and a perch.

Knackered this morning, and its only 9.30!

morning tachi! thanks for the weekend blog which i have noticed is becoming a regular thing on this thread><. u have got a high standard now, i expext to see this here every monday! :p

I can 1-up you there, never played Final Fantasy or Pokemon. :p
I've never finished a pokemon game, does that count?

The long weekend was used well.
Friday, I've been to this polyglot couch surfing meeting. I must say that the atmosphere there is really addicting. In there I manage to practice the languages I know and some I didn't (always with the help of my friend alcohol). It was great fun.

Saturday me and a couple from South Africa went forbidden planet, where I've bought a nice Joey Ramone figure and the remaining 6 volumes of Fables. Then we wander around Brick Lane to get some food and show the tourists guys a part of London that is not so well known to tourists.

Sunday - I was meant to go to the notting hill carnival, but in the end, I couldn't find anyone interested in going, so I gave up and just visited some friends.

Monday - I've spent Monday reading my books, as I was not really aloud to go wherever I wanted, as I was available "on call" for work. Glad I didn't had to actually go to the office, like my colleague had, but still, I'd rather have enjoyed the day out, as it was pretty nice yesterday. Anyway, I've "marathoned" the Fables graphic novels, reading volumes 1 to 10 in a go.

It's official. I like Fables more than I like Sandman now.

Doh... it completely slipped my mind. Just so you can see how much of a gamer I am =P

 fair enough. in honesty i can't remember when it started...it just appeared lol.

and log in tonight just so it gets rid of the "pending" state on my ps3 lol

And Funnily enough willo.....my Gf is part Lutonian and Part Liverpudlian so from time to time the jordie accent slips out and i start taking the piss.. that and whenever liverpool are playing or she mentions liverpool :p

i love accents... dated so many scottish guys just for the accent.

but i think every1 hates their own. have you heard a belfast accent on the news? makes me wanna hurt myself lol

Find me a Yorkshireman who hates his accent! :p

Scouse and Geordie are totally different accents Tach. Mine's a mixture between Yorkshire and North East (Middlesbrough rather than Newcastle), given the different places I grew up in.
