Ha ha yeah some places are forgotten about.
Even a politican was opening a new place in rural Ireland and he had his mic on before he was supposed to speak and the locals heard him say " Where are we again? " LOL
Bloody hell, who does he think he is? A rock star? I thought it was them who were supposed to forget where in the world they are.

Like if a rock singer were to walk on stage at Glasgow O2 and yell "Hello Edinburgh!!!"

Ohhhhh.... 😬

There was a village over in Cumbria we used to drive past a sign for called Hutton Roof, which graffiti artists liked changing to read “Button Moon” which always raised a chuckle.

At least you guys haven't been completely omitted from the map of the UK at one point

EDIT: I have no idea who or what a railgun is!

Eh?! You mean Wales has??

Can't remember where I read it (and it was years ago), but it was some big summit between important wordly people, and apparently Wales was actually omitted from a map of the UK
Because you know, we're just an extention of England or something. England is like the big posh house, and Wales is the poxy conservatory XD

tbey are just jealous of our sexy welsh accents.
I'm gonna ask the thread now do y'all like the valleys accent? I've heard people moaning about someone sounding like a "valleys girl" but I've also heard that people can't get enough of the blokes accent

I'm a bit biased but I do like our Northern one. Not so much mine, but the ones further West, in Conwy and Gwynedd. Some Southern accents are nice, but some are quite strong, and they talk really fast, like my Aunty from Caerphilly - "Come here" sounds more like "Come yuur!". I've been told I sound quite "classically Welsh" by some, and many customers in my old place of work would assume I was from Gwynedd...but, I just don't hear it!

I am partial to the Celtic accents though, especially Irish and Scottish - Northern Irish and East coast Scots especially :) Although, I'd say Cornish is my least favourite (no offence)!

I love the way you put that! 🤣

Oh well, they'll only be missing out on places like Bullyhole Bottom, then. That's my favourite!

Can't believe there's actually a mountain in Scotland called The B*stard! 😆
Why would anyone want to go and climb Ben Nevis when you could have so much more fun saying you're going to climb The B***ard? ;)
