Gasp! Wow, really? I absolutely loved it. The twists and the changes of allegiance... I thought the writing was genius.

And don't even get me started on the ending: to me that's one of the best, if not the best of all time. I'm almost a bit apprehensive of a season 3; it was already concluded so well.

You're the black sheep here @Neil.T , you like all the stuff that no-one else likes!

Hypnosis. His so-called "Geass" ability is to make anybody do anything he says. It's a devilishly clever show, Code Geass. One of my very favourites and...

... highly recommended! (Again.) 😋

Hmmm, I can do that without "Geass"...:p

I really, really tried liking it when I watched it, I really did XD

It just...didn't do it for me...
well not telling you to, but the directors really went random with the series, the manga is better when it picks things to focus on, but it's actual plot isn't that strong, it gets into interesting thing about the tech in it, mostly has a joke on it's characters and the shape of things like computing and looking for a job during the time japan went through a depression. the main girls are homeless twice!

Yeah, from what I remember of it, it's supposed to be a parody series, but I just found it really difficult to get passed Excel's character itself - it's too loud for me. From what I heard as well, the voice actress actually strained her throat voicing the charater - I'm not surprised! The animation of it was really good, just the content didn't really do enough for me.

Ugh. Excel wins prize of most annoying character. Ever.

i just felt that a lot of the supporting cast that betray Lelouch just weren't fleshed out that much, making their actions seem less impactful to me. The series is also quite a clusterf*ck, and the early episodes felt a bit wasted. I still like R2, I did give it a 7/10 on MAL, and the ending is well done, but I didn't like it nor hate it as much as others.

I think it was the english one, the japanese VA was the original series sailor moon (not crystal) and made a few self - parody jokes on who she is and appearances she's made at conventions, one thing I found incredibly funny in the manga though, and it also makes me think differently about hyatt: after excel accidentally sets a fire at one of her jobs, a fire that claims hyatt's life, Il Pallazo decides to give the pair, along with a third girl introduced in the manga, a mission to seek out properties that don't meet safety standards. the girls end up demolishing empty buildings slated for destruction. on one of the buildings, the roof exit closes and the girls are stuck on the roof with the explosives set to detonate. hyatt panics, dies, and leaves the other two to their fate hyatt reports to Il Pallazo while the other two recover
