The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

Some pre-orders:

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Season 1 (Blu-ray)
Journey to Agartha: Collector's Edition (DVD/Blu-ray)
Tiger & Bunny Part 1 (DVD/Blu-ray)
Bleach: Hell Verse Collector's Edition (DVD/Blu-ray)
Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion (Blu-ray)

Received Bakemonogatari this morning and i must say that for £141 it certainly was a disappointing release. Artbook is nice and all the arcs have their own disc but i was expecting a bigger box? At least something close to the AnoHana set i received a few weeks prior

£141? Mine was £126 or something like that from UP1USA.
I suppose it comes down to how much you like the series as to how happy/disappointed you are in this release, as personally I am happy with it, especially as it appears we have the uncompressed Episodes like on the Japanese discs, and subbed commentary's.

Which is mainly why I am happy to see 6 discs covering each arc, the video quality is absolutely top notch because of it. Out of curiosity, how much was your shipping? if you don't mind me asking...

Mine got sent with Lain and shipping was around $20, so ~£12

Nooo small boxes are good, I'm running out of nooks and crannies into which I can stuff NISA's gorgeous-but-huge sets ;_;

NISA releases really do sit in a beautiful position in terms of reasonable cost compared to what you get. I like the Anohana box so much I've been sitting it up in front of a bunch of other discs on my shelves just so that I can look at it more often.

I only have 1 NISA boxes - the Toradora limited editions. I have them proudly displayed on the top of my shelves. I doubt I have room for another NISA release though.

Menma side out or group shot side out? The group shot side on my box has a couple of big air bubbles where the covering hasn't been applied properly :-\

Regarding Bakemonogatari, the pack shots have been out there for a while now, and they show a regular BD-sized art box. Here's hoping my TRSI copy somehow manages to evade the evil glare of customs...

Question to everyone

You know when your browsing for anime you never seen before and you randomly choose a series, dose it feel better discovering then being recommended a anime

I'm going with discovering

Soon I'l be ordering from hmv

I picked up my lain BD set and Occult Academy BD set from post office today, both are great sets, but the Lain set is one of the best looking things in my collection imo.
